I was shopping on Amazon the other day and it occurred to me that if two monkeys shared the same Amazon account, they would be prime mates. Alright, and last night I made gold soup. It has 24 carrots in it. I was really tired on April 1st because I had just finished a long 31-day march.
SPEAKER_14And thank you.
SPEAKER_11And uh last week my hubby came home and I said, I have a pun for you. He said, What is it? I couldn't help myself. He said, it's it's like a joke but a play on words. I Leslie Nielsen did. But enough of this child nish nish nish nish-nish-nish-nish on with the show. Well, greetings and Moobark Fluff to all the creatures in the Potoverse. I am Barely, and you are listening to Barely Furcasting, featuring Tabe in that show that asks the question which side of the bed is the good side?
SPEAKER_08The fluffy side.
SPEAKER_11Oh, Rain, TikTok, Chitaro, and Ziggy are patiently sitting here waiting. Uh Moobark Fluff, and how are all of you?
SPEAKER_10So is Ziggy, but uh we're we're we're doing it. We're doing the thing. You look good for getting over a cold.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, Moobark Fluff.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, it was bad for a while. Yeah, Moobark Fluff and True.
SPEAKER_08I I've just been busy doing um let's just say Ferlandia-ish things.
SPEAKER_07Okay, let's just say that.
SPEAKER_08Just a couple.
SPEAKER_07One, two, three. Ferlandia-ish things.
SPEAKER_11Right then, off we go. Uh, so of course, as you've heard him there, uh, this show would not be this show if it weren't for that ultra huggable puppy. And I'm guessing very tired. Uh Tabin, how the fluff are you today, Tabin?
SPEAKER_07Well, I am just fine, and thanks for asking.
SPEAKER_11Sweet. Okay. Okay. There we go. That's this, there, there it is. There we go. So, Tabin, I'm assuming that the reason you're tired uh is because you actually just got back yesterday from Las Vegas VERCON.
SPEAKER_12Viva Loswegers.
SPEAKER_11Alright, Tabin. So why don't you tell us all about the Las Vegas VERCON?
SPEAKER_07Well, uh, I'm glad you asked. So this was um the first time I've been to LVFC. It was a great new experience. This was my 49th Vircon. Wow. So this was a very different experience than my other 48 cons. For one, it it's uh age restricted, so that just generally uh just gives it a different kind of feel from the start, of course.
SPEAKER_10So did you like did you like it better or worse? That's my question. Because I haven't really been to an age-restricted con yet.
SPEAKER_07It just had a different feel. It was, I don't it's just like all cons. They have a different vibe and a different feel. And do you like this one better than the other one? Sometimes you can't. It's uh it's hard to say. There were other things that made this um like a different experience for me, too. And so as I go through all the things, maybe you'll understand. So it's hard to say if I liked it better or not because there were just so many things that were different for me. It wasn't just the age-restricted thing. I want to talk a little bit about statistics. They have two charities: the Las Vegas LGBTA and Sin Sisters. And I I'm not sure exactly what they were, but they were a charity. But anyway, in any case, they've raised a little more than$21,000 for charities.
SPEAKER_11Wow, that's really good.
SPEAKER_07Which I think I looked at charity from last year. I think that's like$5,000 more than last year.
SPEAKER_10Wow, and this being Las Vegas, I'm hoping charity isn't uh an adult worker. Could be. Yeah, that's what I'm worried about.
SPEAKER_07It very well could be. Um, in that case, charity is very happy going on a cruise right now, from what I hear. Yeah. Um the attendance was great. Last year, the attendance was 3,022. This year, 4,609. That's a 48% growth. Yes, that's awesome. It's it's really good. Just like all the cons are are big. And uh it's really one of the things about um even their website is different than other cons I've seen because you can go and there's a little tab where you can download a sheet, like a spreadsheet of like all their statistics. So not only attendance over the years, but also average age of the attendees, how many non-U.S. attendees were there. But it's just got a bunch of really cool, interesting statistics. Um we know you're a statistic pupp. As I I do like the statistics uh vis stat things, and and interesting, just uh I noticed the average age of attendees increased by one each year since the beginning. Wow.
SPEAKER_10So I guess that just says that um so that a lot of people are coming back.
SPEAKER_07A lot of people are coming back. It's got like a common um like feel. And you can tell too. I mean, I talked to lots of furs there that it was their first con, obviously, first uh L VFC. Um, but obviously um that I talked to others that have been coming there for like the since the beginning, so all four years or whatever, and um they just love it. A little bit about how it's set up. So it's set up different than like any other con I've been to, in that it's more horizontal, it's not vertical. The hotels, there are four hotels: the Alexis Park, the Serene, the Embassy Suites, and the Tuscany. And they're all you know, like the embassy is six stories tall or six floors, but um like the Serene and the Lexus Park only has like two floors of hotel rooms, so that means they're like really spread out and everything. I mean it so like the Alexis Park, that's the main hotel, that's where um as I said, it's very spread out, and it encompasses this big open sp well, it's not all open, you've got three pools spread out, um, and it goes far back, it's it's pretty big, and um yeah, this is this is a totally different experience. Um, so there was lots of mingling space, it was all outdoors. As I said, there's pools. The main pool had like there were DJs all afternoon, all throughout the afternoon, every day at the pool, and that was very cool. People, it was warm enough that people would be in the pool, it was great and everything. And by the way, at one point when the DJs was playing a song that was extremely boots and cats, and I couldn't help but just say it as a boots and cats and please and it was it, it was so great because it was perfectly boots and cats. It was awesome. Oh awesome. Anyway, that was very cool, lots of mingling space, as I said. The mainstage panel rooms and dealers, dealer den was all inside. Something that I I usually don't go to panels when I went to cons, but this for con had uh a few comedy shows. I went to one of the comedy shows, which was um i comedy better when I've had a few was the title of it. And this was a lot of people might know of um this was by Alkali, and he does this a lot. And for any further that doesn't know, Alkali does a lot of church events at different cons, TFF, of course, this one. I think he chaired IFC or something at one point. Anyway, so that was very fun. We went to a few magic shows, that was fun and very cool. Uh, a little bit more about the hotels. As I said, there were four of them. Three of them, and this is again another diff this was a very different con from like a lot of other cons. Um, so three of these hotels were buyout, meaning every single room in the hotel was reserved only for the convention. Ooh, that's awesome. Yeah, which places don't do that, of course. Um, so this really made it a true furry community because obviously, everywhere you went in in the lobby, any of the hotel space, not just the con space, but the hotel space, in any one of these three hotels, they're all furries. The Serene and Alexis Park were right next to each other, so uh furries would be walking forth back and forth just between the two, on and it is just very, very awesome. Another thing of so because of this, there was no needing to explain things to normies or anything. Yeah, which which was which was kind of nice. When, for example, when an elevator door opened, you could just bark, and no matter who it was, they'd understand. And it did. If a if there was an elevator and the door started to open, I bought and like they knew they knew they were like they barked back. It was like it was great. Yay! And uh, so yeah, this was a different experience. Oh, yeah, another thing. So I've never not been at a main hotel at a con, so that was yet another different experience here for me. So there were shuttles that went between the four hotels. The Alexis Park and Serene were, and so this is you know, I think if any fur is planning on checking out Las Vegas FurCon at some point, I think there's maybe some. I'm trying to point out some notable things that are differences that are good to kind of plan for. The Serene and Alexis Park were next to each other, so there didn't need to be a short shuttle between those. The shuttle would stop at the Alexis Park, then it would go to the embassy, which is where me and my hubby stayed, then to the Tuscany, which was the furthest one out, and then back to Alexis Park. Because of this, it took 45 minutes to get from the embassy to Alexis Park because the shuttle went the opposite direction, with only 15 minutes to get from Alexis Park to Embassy. So we typically would actually walk to the Alexis Park, which took about 18 minutes, and then took the shuttle back to embassy. So, all you furs, if you're planning on do this, note the direction of the shuttle because it actually makes a big difference if you're trying to get somewhere. The embassy and Tuscany hotels were deemed quiet hotels. We were in the embassy and this was one of the buyout hotels, so everyone's furry. It's a quiet hotel. The Lexus Park and Serene were deemed party hotels. So Serene was not very serene. It was not very serene. No, it was not. And even more on the map for the Lexus Park, you know, it has the map of like the the spread the pools and the where everything is and stuff. The back area was actually there's a note on the map that said, This is the noisy area. So first we've got the main hotel, the Lexus Park, which is deemed to be party hotel, and then it has a specific noisy area, which is um It's good to know. It is really good to know. Uh yeah, my my panels, um, story time with we're story time with Tabin and Tabin scenes, we're all they went well. It the only notable thing that really happened that had not ever happened before was that TB did not go fall down. No, but Tabin did. Oh no, no! Yes. Did you fall off the stage? I fell off the well, this was during story time, and I went to sit down on my chair, and I didn't quite make it. Oh no. No. So Tabin go fall down, but T B did not go fall down, and that was very notable. And so then I I wanna conclude my notes here with saying that during the actual con, like I think on Sunday it was put out, was a local news article was actually written and published during the con. So that's very cool. You didn't have to wait for it. And it was a really well-written um little article. We'll put the link to the article on the website. It it's it was a really good uh article. The article is titled Las Vegas Fur Con Takes Over the City with Thousands Wild Looks and Unapologetic Self-Expression. There's a nice little article that briefly explains furries in a positive light, and it positively describes the convention. We all know how sometimes these articles can go, so it's very cool to see that. The end of the article reads, but beyond the visuals, and yes, there are plenty, this is really about freedom. Freedom to create, to express, to show up as whoever or whatever you want to be. That's the real draw. And in Las Vegas, well that tracks. Because in a city built on reinvention, Vircon isn't out of place. It's right on brand. So if you see a sharply dressed fox in the lobby or a neon wolf heading to a party, just know it's not random. It's a takeover. And the Fernie Takeover, it was, I must say, it was a really um great experience. I'm glad I did it. You know, if any fur is uh wanting to check it out sometime, I hope what I've said here helps you out.
SPEAKER_10Alright then. Well Elvis isn't dead, he just went home.
SPEAKER_11That's right. That's right.
SPEAKER_10That's right. So he was to the planet something or other.
SPEAKER_11To the planet Elvis. Alright. Taven. Hi. Let's get Zen. Give us some formations.
SPEAKER_14Oh, good.
SPEAKER_11Okay.
SPEAKER_05Well, well, for all you furs that may or may not know, this is a part of the show in which I read some affirms affirmations for our our wonderful lives and help us realize how wonderful we all are.
SPEAKER_07And these days, I'm reading cards from positive vibes, uplifting messages from free friends. And the free friends in this particular deck of cards, they're all doggies. So the first one says, With every breath, I invite calmness into my being. And on the Chitaro's oyes. And on the back it says, Begin at your toes and work your way up to your head. Then relaxing each muscle group. So the next one sa is a husky that says, I am resilient, strong, and ready to face any climate. And on the back it says, embrace challenges. When faced with a difficult situation, actively embrace it as a chance to grow. And the third one for this week, it's a I think it's a Corgi. And the Corgi says, It's so cute. He says, I look forward to new horizons with hope and excitement. Yes. On the back it says, set a small daily goal. Not a daily goat, but a small daily goat.
SPEAKER_10Unless your daily goal is to have a goat.
SPEAKER_07A daily goat. Then that is acceptable to be your daily goal.
SPEAKER_05Every morning set a small achievable goal for the day. This practice keeps you oriented towards growth and progress. And those are my affirmations for the week.
SPEAKER_11Taven. Hi. Hi. Thank you for those wonderful affirmations. I'm now centered in Zen and uh ready to go. On the past today, you said last episode that you tell us a little bit about the show Chef.
SPEAKER_07Yes, oh yes, yes, yes. And I guess I will do that right now. Okay.
SPEAKER_11Um just just just a little bit. You said you were gonna tell us what it was about, so.
SPEAKER_07Yes, this was a movie from 2014 on Netflix, and and indeed, um, I asked Barely last time if he had seen it before because he likes cooking shows and stuff, and he said no, so as Barely just said, I will tell you a little bit about it. Now I haven't seen it yet, but um I'll read a little bit about from what I can glean. It actually stars several notable people, such as John Favreau, Robert Johnny Jr., Scarlett Johanneson, and Dustin Hoffman, actually. So it's got a lot of good good cast. It has 7.3 out of 10 on IMDB, but it's actually won two awards and has four award nominations. Uh it's a dramedy about an acclaimed chef that ruins his own career. Accidentally, he gets all mad at at um at uh anyway, you all have to see it, but that ruins his career, and so he uh so the natural thing is he opens a food food truck in Miami.
SPEAKER_11Of course. Yes, because that's what else would you do?
SPEAKER_07Yes. Um it's a dramedy. Some reviews are happy, uplifting, feel good movie, and another is a familiar recipe, expertly prepared and served with extra zest. Okay. As I said, I haven't seen it, but I now want to.
SPEAKER_10Yes. I mean, yeah, it's got Colin Yost's wife in it.
SPEAKER_11So yeah, it's it's got um yes, it's got a lot of good stuff.
SPEAKER_08That's funny.
SPEAKER_11And then uh last episode you talked about a cube in four-dimensional space. Yes. That got me thinking, is that similar to or the same as a tesseract?
SPEAKER_07It is. A tesseract is just another name for a four-dimensional cube, and they've got other names for higher-dimensional cubes. And something I can say about that, uh, just geometrically, if you wanted to try and draw it. So if you a zero-dimensional cube is just like a point, right? It's just one vertex. A one-dimensional cube is just a line segment. So it has two vertices, that is, two points at each end and one edge. Of course, a two-dimensional cube is just a square, so it's got four vertices, four edges, and one face. One two-dimensional face. That's the square part. A three-dimensional cube, of course, if you just think for a second or draw it out, and it has eight vertices, twelve edges, and six faces. Six, six squares, one on each side. A four-dimensional cube, that is a tesseract, has it follows kind of the same pattern, a 16 vertices, 32 edges, and 24 actual, not not hitting it jumps from six to twenty-four two-dimensional faces.
SPEAKER_10No wonder you put an dynasty stone in it.
SPEAKER_07It's it's yes, right? And and you know, it's you can't like actually visualize it because we can't visualize four dimensions, but there's all these cute a lot of ways that topologists, that is, people that might study these things or geometers, you can kind help visualize things in higher dimension, is you project them into a lower-dimensional surface. So you can like go online and see projections of a four-dimensional cube projected onto a three-dimensional surface, and you get all these kind of fun, fun pictures and everything.
SPEAKER_10I wonder if anybody has one that you could do that on like the meta quest with, because then you could see it in three dimensions, uh, four-dimensional reference.
SPEAKER_07That is a good question. I'm gonna make a note and find out. I would not be surprised if someone's made all the projections and stuff. So I'll look into that and maybe uh for next time, Pass Today, maybe I'll have something fun to say about that. I have one last thing to say from Past Today. Um, so last time I talked about Hunters, uh, that that show that we came out in 2020 with Logan Luhrmann and Al Pacino. And I don't remember who said it, but it it was conjectured that this was Logan Luhrmann's first role. Uh actually, he has had many prior films, in fact, 33 in total, one of which was one of the more notable was um he was in the perks of being a wallflower, which was in 2012. And his first thing he was in was actually he was in the Patriot in in 2000. So he's actually uh had been experienced by the time he got in Hunters. And the side note I found out in looking into this, he has actually won seven awards and had 24 award nominations. Well, good for him.
SPEAKER_02Good for him, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Okay, now I'm done. Now I'm done. I probably all right.
SPEAKER_11Well, now it's time to take us up to media. All right.
SPEAKER_10Okay, good. Short and piercing.
SPEAKER_11Give that worse, yes, short and piercing. So uh I'm all caught up on RuPaul Drag Race. I was sorry to see Jane don't leave, but uh wasn't sorry to see Juicy leave recently. So uh also uh up to date on Georgie and Mandy and uh Guy Fieri's Flavor Town, which is a new series he's got going on.
SPEAKER_07I want you to interrupt for two seconds before I forget just to say we walked past in Vegas um Guy Fieri's steakhouse or something, and he didn't go in, but we walked past it, and I immediately thought of you bear league. Oh, thank you.
SPEAKER_11Thank you.
SPEAKER_10I ate at his burger place in New York, it was really good. Okay.
SPEAKER_11Uh and I'm also caught up on his other show, uh Tournament of Champions, which is in their seventh season. I did watch the season finale of Starfleet Academy. Very good show. Okay. Sad there canceling it after season two, but you know, we're gonna do that.
SPEAKER_10Well, the the petition to save it is over 40,000 signatures as of uh yesterday. Well, we'll see. So maybe we'll see.
SPEAKER_11Maybe, yeah. So I watched a mini docuseries on Netflix called Death by Lightning. It's about the assassination of the 20th president, which you may remember as James Garfield, or you may not know because he only served as president from March to September of 1881, uh, because during that time the inauguration was in March, not January, like we do now. And it's a really good show. It's got r uh Nick Offerman in it. So um if you like, if you're a Nick Offerman fan, he does a great job of the first time. Uh you'll know him from oh, I don't know, things like Parks and Wreck. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_10Um I think that's also uh Megan Mallelli's husband, isn't it?
SPEAKER_11It is Megan Mullelli's husband, yes.
SPEAKER_10Yes. So Karen or Karen from Will and Grace. It's her husband.
SPEAKER_11Okay. Uh I got back to watching the anime one piece. So I'm up to episode 40 something now. Way, way, way in the past. So I have a long way to go.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I've seen I've seen clips from the new live action second season, and it looks really good. Yeah, I haven't watched that really big. Yeah.
SPEAKER_11I finished the first season of Monarch with the hubby, uh, which is Legends of Monsters. And of course, at nighttime, bedtime, I either throw on American Dad, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, or Bless the Hearts when I'm falling asleep. So it's just You've got lots of options there.
SPEAKER_07Do you rotate through them or do you just think, hey, what am I in the mood for tonight?
SPEAKER_11Whatever I'm in the mood for, it's basically just something to fall asleep to. So uh, because I've seen them all, so it's not a big deal. So it doesn't really matter. Yep. Uh Rain, what have you been up to media-wise?
SPEAKER_10Uh well, Ziggy made me watch movie 43. And it it was a movie. It was uncomfortable at some parts. Yes. Uh very uncomfortable. And really silly overall. Definitely not a movie for kids. Uh, but it was it it had some charms to it. A lot of good actors in it. It's just very odd. Whimsical. Yes.
SPEAKER_08Very, very much odd, yes. Definitely not for your kids, though.
SPEAKER_07Um I think I remember looking starting, because you talked about that last time, and I was interested, and so I looked into it and I forgot what I saw. And there might be a reason I forgot what I saw. Maybe I purposely forgot what I saw. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10You definitely do not want to remember several of them. Uh several of the stories made me want to repress them. Okay. Yeah. Especially the one with you, Jackman. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That one. Oh, no.
SPEAKER_15Or the pro the one with the proposal.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, the proposal one was not good either. With uh with uh Chris Pratt. Not good. Yeah. Repressing those memories. Uh, I just finally, after three years of off and on play, finished Jedi Survivor. So it's the second of the three Jedi games featuring Cal Cestis as the main protagonist. The game was really good. The ending left me a little conflicted about Cal uh tapping into the dark side a bit too much when he gets in trouble. So given that he has lost almost everyone he cared about, I can I guess I can understand that. The title is Survivor after all. I'm looking forward to the third series coming out uh either late this year or sometime in the next two years. It's unclear right now what's gonna happen because the director of the Jedi series of games, uh Stig Asmussen, has just quit and formed his own game studio. So there's some worry that EA will try to rush the third Jedi game out. And it'll probably be buggy because the team have been changing stuff since he quit, uh, changing the game mechanics away from the Metro Metroidvania style gameplay that Stig preferred in order to differentiate the game a bit from his predecessors. So it could be now, um, you know, like at 2026 at holiday time, or maybe 2028 if they try to get it correct. Uh a lot of people are worried that that with the changes they've made to the gameplay since Stig uh quit, that it's going to cause uh a lot of bugs because uh they're going more open world style with the same kind of combat situation that they had.
SPEAKER_07It might come out in July and a half.
SPEAKER_10Yes, it might. Who knows? Because again, they will probably rush it out for holiday 2026 because that's the way they are, and it'll probably be buggy as heck until they get it all fixed up. So I'm just hoping that they do the right thing and and make it good before they bring it up. Awesome.
SPEAKER_15Uh that's it from me. All right. Ziggy, how about you? Redman made me watch the adventures of Bucaro Pansai across the eighth dimension. It's a lot, yes, Bucaroo and Sai. It has a lot to take in. Bucaroo is what I understood is a daredevil, a samurai, a rock star, a brain surgeon, uh physicist. The president trusts him more than his own his own advisors.
SPEAKER_07Bucharoo, indeed.
SPEAKER_15Yes, indeed. Uh he's the kind of if hooker who was trying to sell in a timetaire, I'm definitely getting a con condole from him. Yeah, he's that kind of a good person. It was crazy, fast-paced, uh, and entertaining. I really like the cast because you get to see many famous actors before they got before they were a big like Peter Weller, Jeff Goldwing, uh Goldwyn, uh, Christopher Lloyd, uh wow, and John Ligo. Yeah. Oh, really? Just to name a few, they were a lot. A lot of faces. Yeah, a whole lot of them. I still want to know what the cast station owner is doing owning uh helicopter though. Because yeah, that crazy that kind of crazy movie it was. I also it's a good movie. Yeah, it is. It is fun, it has a lot to take in. Uh, we also cut up on uh the new season of Scrubs. It's been interesting seeing uh how the characters are evolving. The same hospital but new relationships. And game-wise, I've been playing Fortnite as usual. Uh, we the players of Fortnite feel that the battle between the foundation and the ice king, though, has been rigged because the foundation uses the lookalike of Dwayne Johnson, the rock. And as per his contract, he always states that he never loses. One day the foundation will be losing, and when we log in the next day, he's magically ahead of the ice king. Sometimes we put the foundation like five million elimination ahead, and the ice king team recovers the difference on 10 by 15 million elimination ahead. And bingo bungo presto bongo the next morning, the foundation is ahead, five million one second. Of course! And on April Fool, there was an April Fool April April Fool joke words are a hard uh event uh where you can uh get to use finger guns as weapon additional to your usual weapon. Yes, actually, you say you it did it uh the gun doesn't make a sound, you say the sound, you go pew pew. Yep and you blow your fingers when you're reloading. I go very pew pew pew. That's so cute. And that's when you reload. It was brilliant. High damage, high accuracy, and really long distance. We really want them back. Other than that, I've been just playing uh electrician simulator, it's a bit clunky to play though, but fun. You pick electronic houses and you try to start your own business. It was free and epic. Uh, but by the time this episode releases, you'll have to pay for it sadly.
SPEAKER_07Oh, I pay for it every time. I do anything.
SPEAKER_10Every time every one of us listens to the show, we pay for it too. Yes.
SPEAKER_11I'm sorry. Yep. TikTok, what have you been up to on the media front?
SPEAKER_09Well, we got usual Jeopardy and RuPaul. Uh Jane Don't was indeed a shocker. I imagine there were some pissed-off bookies in Vegas after after she left. Uh, but also congrats to finalists, Nini, uh, Mikey, and Darlene. Uh, let's see, a few episodes, uh, no reservations, uh, Tony Bourdain. Uh, I ended up watching uh power watching the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Uh, enjoyed it much more than I expected.
SPEAKER_10Uh you need to go back and listen to when uh Royal Highness did their recaps of that.
SPEAKER_09I did. And what was really hilarious to me was they had the so my husband put it on in November when it was it was released then. Something like that, yeah. Something like that. Yeah. But it's like, you know, right out of the gate, we have you know child abuse and on-screen diarrhea. And I'm just like, no, I'm not interested in this, honey. No, no. And Hyleen said exactly the same thing. But no, so you know, with reserve with um recommendations from Barley and everyone else, I was like, okay, let's try it out. But you know, I really enjoyed it much more than I expected. Uh, never could get into Game of Thrones, it was just too dark for me, along with the relentless entry. Relentless.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_09Uh, Seven Kingdoms is rather more self-deprecating, and basing it around the tournament was a really cool plot device. On a medieval reenactment channel, I like to check out. They dubbed the big fight scene at the end as being one of the best ever depicted in movies. Wow. Yeah, very, very. Which channel is that, by the way? I will send it to you. And as far as Sir Dunk's character, the big guy that no one takes seriously, I was getting the major feels.
SPEAKER_11Could you relate it now? Could you relate to him, TikTok? Is that what she said? I could. Okay. Chitaro, what have you been up to, media-wise?
SPEAKER_08Well, Pink Lemonite and I have been watching the first and second seasons of American Dad. Whoa.
SPEAKER_10It's fun to go back to the original.
SPEAKER_08It is, and I've actually watched them when they first came out, but he well, he was like three years old when they first came out, so he wasn't able to see them, right? So, um, so we were been watching these, but there was one episode that that I thought was amazing. It had Steve and Roger running away to New York, and Stan told Francine, don't worry, they didn't leave, they just went into the treehouse. Well, there were these squirrels that were inside the treehouse, and the funny part was that one of the squirrels was named Gilbert and another was named Arnie, and they had this mother that was exorbitantly large that ate brownies and ended up dying, and then uh then lightning ended up hitting the treehouse and it got set on fire. This this is very much a scene in another movie that's from 1993 called What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Oh so it spawned us. The best, yeah. We ended up watching the Leonardo DiCaprio movie ever. Yeah, we ended up watching that movie, uh, the What's Eating Gilbert Grape with Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio. Um, I I I do want to say that it is a very interesting movie, you know, because you've got the you you've got the aspect of the the father ends up killing himself long ago, and that's why the mother balloons up to like 600 pounds. Yeah, you know, and and uh it's because of the of Arnie, who is mentally challenged, and you know, and and it's funny because some of the IMDB um uh trivia parts uh talk about how Leonardo DiCaprio did such a great job playing a mentally disturbed person that on the night when this movie came to the Academy Wards and people saw him, they thought, wait, you're not dismissed disabled at all.
SPEAKER_10It was the best acting he's ever done. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, that's totally a true statement. The the interesting part is that I thought was interesting is the woman who played Mama, the big large lady, she was never an actress to begin with. She was never an actress. The the director of the movie saw her on Sally Jesse Raphael. He liked her so much because um she she was so sincere and things like that that he asked her directly to be a part of the movie and she said yes. Johnny Depp had to say lots of bad things about his mother in this movie, saying, Oh, how fat she was and how she was a whale and you know all this stuff. But Johnny Depp said that every day when he had to say bad things about her character in the movie, he went to her and apologized and gave her a big hug because he wanted to tell her that he didn't really feel that way about her. She was really a sweet person. She ended up, believe it or not, she ended up uh losing a whole ton of weight and then becoming a spokesperson for not getting heavy. So funny. Yeah. But um, but we also watched the 2010 animated version, How to Train Your Dragon. If you remember last episode, I watched the live action version. And when I said what I was talking about, there was some inaccuracies. I remember watching the movie, but I've remembered it different. And so when I watch the animated movie and I'm comparing it to the live action, it's pretty spot on. You know, I mean, uh Hiccup does start with two legs and he ends up defeating the the big gigantic dragon at the end, and that's when he lost his leg and stuff. And so, but they did a really good job. You know, it it's amazing how some of the similarities in terms of what happened in the live action and what happened in the animation actually happened, like the scene where Hiccup was uh meeting Toothless for the first time, and and Toothless was trying to draw something in the ground and and he like walks and tries to step, not step on the lines. That was rather a cool scene. So I'm gonna actually end up watching the the second one because I have what I didn't realize is that I saw, I thought I saw the first one and I did, but I don't remember it. And now I'm gonna watch the second one, and the second one, an animated one, is supposed to be even better, who knows? But I will say it's definitely worth the watch. But I do want to say one thing that we did end up watching, which we started from the beginning all over again to watch B-Stars from season one, all the way from the beginning, and watch it all the way to the end, uh, the end of the final season. All I'm going to say is, oh my cheetah, it is really good. I'm not gonna say any spoilers, but I do have to say that I think the ending should have been a little bit longer because there are still questions that I have in regards to that.
SPEAKER_11They left it open that way they could come back possibly. You never know.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, maybe a movie. A movie, maybe cool. There is, according to the IMDB uh trivia stuff, there is theoretically talks of that happening. So who knows? You know, maybe maybe we'll see little versions of Lagoshi running around. Maybe you never know. Maybe we can ask, maybe we can ask Jonas Scott at Forlanding.
SPEAKER_11I'm sure he's at an ADA. I'm sure somebody's but I'm sure somebody's gonna ask him during the Oh, I'm sure, and I'm sure he's got an NDA that he can't talk anything about upcoming seasons or projects.
SPEAKER_10Usually they can hint, but they can't give you direct answers about stuff like that.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, probably say something like Well, I guess it remains to be seen, or things like that.
SPEAKER_10Or I'd love to do that if they were gonna do that. Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_11That's usually the answer. Taven, how about you? What have you been mediaing?
SPEAKER_07I mean, with LVFC and everything, I haven't been doing much, but um, we finished Hunters, we continued the Detroiters. You might remember um I talked about that last time, and how the first episode I talked last time about the first episode was what is uh and then the second episode was ah yay, that's great. And then it turns out the third, and then it kind of goes up and down. Anyway, so it's kind of it settled down to be entertaining, but not like amazingly good or anything. It turns out it's produced by Lauren Michaels, so like yeah, I mean, once you hear that it's produced by Lauren Michaels and you watch some of it, you're like, uh yeah, that tracks. And of course, like I said last time, I'm rewatching the first half of season three of B Stars. I'm still watching that first half that I've seen before. I haven't had much time to uh keep watching, but I'm excited, especially with Chitaro's raving Oh my cheetah there. Um, I've been playing Royal Kingdoms. I started playing Barely It's Your Fault. I started playing Match Villains. There's a game named Barely It's Your Fault. Yes.
SPEAKER_10Is that on the App Store?
SPEAKER_07Not yet. I want to play that. It's in relevant. I mean this is it. This is it. Yes. Um and so and I noticed that Royal Kingdom and Royal Match, they're by the same, same makers, same company. Match Villains is by a totally different company. And I'm also noting there's a lot of other games like this by different. So it's like everyone's just saying, oh, look, this is a popular game. Let's just make our own version. And it ends up being exactly the same game. Although with match villains, I am noting that um, like with Royal Kingdom and Royal Match, like all the mechanics and all the little things and stuff, they end up all being really the same. Um, with match villains, you just today I came across a new thing that just and I'm not even on uh like this is level 90 or something, and I got a new mechanic that is not in Matt's Kingdom or uh Royal Match or Royal Kingdom. Yep, there's a lot of those. Like like so far, like up until now, all the things the things in Mass Villains have been, you know. Oh yeah, I've seen those in the other two, but no, they've actually got new stuff, and they've got more than 10,000 levels, whereas Royal Kingdom and only has like I think I'm on level 4,000, I think, or something. Anyway, then let's see, been doing a little bit of Bloom 6, Monkeys Go Pop, um Beatsaber a tiny bit. I started a game uh from Steam called One Decks One Deck Galaxy. I can't even say it. One Deck Galaxy a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, in a podcast far far away. Oh we I I think I talked about a game I played uh for a little while called One Deck Dungeon, which was um really cool and really fun, and it's got a little physical card deck, but you can also get it on Steam, and it's really fun. So it turns out now there's a one deck galaxy, which is a sequel of swords, it has the same elements, but it's much more complicated. Like they took the whole idea of one deck dungeon, didn't get rid of it, but keep that, kept that, but then like surrounded it with a whole bunch of like RPG and DD-esque things and like world building and stuff, so it it went crazy. Like I haven't even gotten through the full tutorial once yet, and I've been looking at the tutorial a lot. So I've been trying that, and we'll see if I've actually figured the game out by the next time we talk about it on the show next time. It does look really cool and everything, so I'm excited. But it's there's a big learning curve. Whereas One Deck Dungeon is pretty quick. So, uh any fur that is interested, go to Steam and look up One Deck Dungeon. It's like only$9.99 and it's a fun little um roll dice type thing. Um, it's cool, but um yeah, then if you're wanting to like really up the stakes with your learning abilities, go to One Deck Galaxy. Oh, and those are media things for the week.
SPEAKER_10Awesome. Hey, thank you. We've all heard what we've been mediaing, and now we want to know what Chitaro's been mediaing in secret so that he could give us his movie review.
SPEAKER_08So I'm reviewing the movie that's in still in theaters currently. It's kind of in the secondary theaters right now. Uh, it's from 2026, a movie that is called Goat. So goat has a double meaning because this movie is unique in the fact that it is starring an anthropomorphic animal that is a goat, but it also talks about a character who is the greatest of all time. So it's kind of like a double meaning uh title. So there's this young kid, and I do mean that literally because he's a goat, that is named Will Harris, and his mother takes him to what is called a roarball game. Roarball. Well, roarball is basically an animalized version of basketball, okay? Because he wants to see his favorite player, Jet Fillmore, who who she is she is a Panther, who is also the greatest of all time players. He sh he wanted to see her play. So he sees her play and he tells his mom, I want to be able to do that too. You know, I want to be able to play roarball like Jet. So they kind of like show that in the beginning, and then they show a little blurb that says 10 years later, and now this small little kid is now uh uh an adult goat, and he's living on the edge of society with hardly any money. He lives in the garage of this hamster who has hundreds of children. And I do mean hundreds. Well, that's what hamsters do. He he wants to be, as he said in the beginning, a roarball champion, and so he he practices playing all the time. And there's something that I don't quite understand in this movie because in the roarball championships and the play that they that the professionals do, the ball that they have is basketball looking, but there's holes all over it. But when he is playing basketball not professionally, just like in in the streets, so to speak, he has a basketball that is well, a basketball ball. And so he's playing with his basketball ball. So while he's playing, he's really good and he can do all these things. Well, there's this one big gigantic named player uh in in the Roarball Championships, and his name is called you're gonna laugh, main attraction, main M-A-N-E, because he's a big gigantic horse. Oh my gosh. So he ends up playing main attraction. They're playing um like to three points. Who gets three points first? And he ends up like getting two points right away from this guy, and then he says, Okay, fine, we're we're gonna play this in a different way, and he like punches him down and beats him up and all this stuff, and then the horse wins, and you know, but but the video that was that was uh being recorded of them playing this game, it went viral. It went so viral that the Vineland Thorns, which is ironically funny because the Thorns is also a team for uh soccer here in Portland, but the Vineland Thorns ends up seeing. This video and going, this is the perfect person because you know, uh Jet, who is the big time player, says, We need to get another player because you know we need to be able to win the claw, which the claw is like the um the version of the the the the championship game trophy, so to speak. Uh the team ends up hiring Will, the the goat, to be on the team. And of course, everybody's going, Oh my god, why you know the goat's a small, you know, because they call any animal that's not huge mongously big a small.
SPEAKER_10Okay.
SPEAKER_08Uh and so so he's a small. He can't be playing a game like this with big gigantic animals because on the team, besides the panther, is a Komodo dragon, a rhinoceros, an ostrich, and a giraffe. But what ends up happening in this movie is a very interesting turn of events that I'm not going to say specifically because I don't want to wreck the movie. The turn of events that happen are exciting. It has a lot of interesting promise to it. The graphic animation style is very similar to the animation style of uh Spider-Man, uh the last Spider-Man into the universe or something like that.
SPEAKER_10Cross the Spider-Verse, yes. Yeah. I love that animation style.
SPEAKER_08It's kind of like comic booky cell shading type thing. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. And and what's really interesting about the Roarball tournaments is they have these tournaments in different areas. Like one area was a whole entire ice ring that if you ended up cracking the ice, the ice would break and fall, and you know, and there's water, and uh the there was a fire one where there was like lots of fire and mountains. See, I'd watch a game if it was like this. Yeah, yeah. They the games were really exciting, and you know, I mean, I it really like I said, I am not a a sporting ball person in any way, shape, or form. But this movie kind of gets you interested and involved into it because of the fact that it's it's basketball ball-esque, but it's not really basketball ball.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, basketball with environmental changes to the game. Yeah, yeah, for sure. For sure.
SPEAKER_08But it it is it is a really good movie. They actually have some really good music. You know, I find it interesting that a lot of these brand new movies are playing movie, or excuse me, not movies, but they're playing music from the 70s and 80s. Yes. Of course, you want to appeal to the children while also appealing to their parent.
SPEAKER_10Well, one of the reasons that a lot of movies are doing that is because a lot of that music from the 70s and 80s now is is much less expensive to license than current pop tunes, and it's more recognizable to a wider audience than current pop tunes are.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, that that is for sure too. Um, so so I kind of enjoyed this movie. There were a couple of things that I I was weirded out about, and the one thing I was weirded out about the most was the fact that I didn't understand how a basketball ball with holes all over it could actually contain its shape enough to still be able to bounce and all this stuff, right? There's lots of cool people in this movie. Jelly Roll plays uh a big gigantic bear. Uh Jennifer Hudson plays the voice of Will's mother, you know, um, and then Nick Kroll plays a Komodo dragon. Oh, fun. Yeah, and um, and the main the main characters, Will, is played by Caleb McLaughlin and uh and Jet is performed by Gabrielle Union. So there's some pretty big names in this movie. I'm going to give this movie four and three-quarter stars. It deserves more, but it kind of left questions in in my mind in regards to, you know, the the physical dynamics of how these balls work and stuff, because you know, it just seemed like there was there was a lot more bounce in these balls than could be with lots of holes in them. But it's an excellent movie. It it's great in terms of animation, great in terms of music. I just recommend it to everybody that wants to see it. It will probably be coming out on streaming services in a month or two, but um if you're able to see it in the theaters while it's there, it's worth going to see in the theater.
SPEAKER_11Well, it's time for our intrepid news reporter TikTok. Take it away.
SPEAKER_09Well, let's see. First up, we have the charity take at Texas Texas Ferry Fiesta at a very respectable forty-two thousand one hundred and eighty-three dollars from nine thousand one hundred and thirty-five attendees. Wow. Wow. Uh the charity is care, the Center for Animal Research and Education, based in Bridgeport, Texas, and they provide, well, care and shelter for big cats and other exotic animals. Second of all, the student newspaper of California State Polytechnic University, the Polypost, had a recent article on PA, the Pomoma Anthropomorphic Wing Club, which is the university's official furry club. Usual topics were covered, the uh close-knit nature of the furry fandom, fur suiting, fursonas, and so forth. The PO Club president, Thomas Lu, emphasized the unique nature of characters within the furry fandom. The furry community was sprouted out of not as a fan base of corporate properties like anime or superhero communities. The furry community distinguishes itself in that people's characters are their own and it revolves around that grassroots nature of it. You go. And it's always I'm always glad to see positive articles like this. So way to go. Okay. And for the finale, we have an article from Coyote Media, an article, an alt-weekly newspaper uh based in San Francisco Bay Area. And but before we get to the article, the newspaper's name is an homage to the trickster critter, the coyote, and also a Barry area organization. And from the informational link on their website, Coyote, call off your old tired ethics, was founded in San Francisco in 1973. They provided legal and medical services for sex workers, offered employment, health, and financial counseling, and also worked to educate the public about prostitution. Okay. Oh, back to the article. The title the title says it all, which was published in December of last year. Bay Area Sports Mot mascots ranked by the Ultimate Experts Furries. Nice.
SPEAKER_10We know our stuff. I'm kind of I'm kind of sad that it's not the all of the mascots. Because I mean, I used to room with the coyote from the Spurs when I worked at the Alamadon. So we had the same office for a while. Okay.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. See, a panel of four local furs were chosen, including friend of BFFT, Pacho Fur. Lots of fun and snarky comments about the mascots about the mascot costumes and characters were made, who ranked the mascots by quality of costume and overall vibe of the character. Since there was about a dozen, I'll just do the top three. So we have third up was Violet of the Golden State Valkyrie's basketball team, who's a feathery raven with much-needed prescription eyeglasses. Second was Lou Seal, a fuzzy seal mascotting for the San Francisco Giants baseball team. And now, number one, drum roll. Richter the Cyber Dog, a mascot for the San Jose Earthquakes, the major league soccer team while in the early 2000s. Now, if you check out the video link to the show notes, you'll see that Richter's performance isn't just mascot furry. It's really, really furry. Yeah. And here's his backstory. So hold your uh puppy dish tight with Ozzy's Tabin. There was once a stray Siberian husky puppy who lived at a Silicon Valley soccer field, and the kids who played there would take care of him. None of their parents would let them adopt a stray, so the puppy slept in the goal, and the kids would bring him food, and then he would play soccer with them. He got to be pretty good, even though he was still a puppy. One night during an earthquake, some machinery at a VR research center next door accidentally opened up a portal on the field. The puppy was curious and went inside. He was transported into cyberspace and reborn as Richter the Cyberdog. Wow. So uh prelude, yeah, so prelude to a protegen anyone. Right. Yeah. Uh I was so taken by his costume, which is far ahead of this time for 2000 to 2001, and his performance, I had to do some digging. As it turns out, Richter was indeed played by a furry and prolific fursuiter named Yippie Coyote. Oh he's been into fandom since 1990. Although, are we kind of circling on coyotes somehow? Yeah, a lot of coyotes.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yippee. I okay. I heard of it. Oh my lord. Oh my cow. This is crazy. I I'm going to have to message him right now and say we're talking about Richter. Because I know, I know Yippi. Oh my cow. Okay. This is coming around full circle in so many ways for me. This is so exciting. Now, but I thought I'd interrupt and say that.
SPEAKER_09Okay, so Yippie hasn't has owned at least 19 fursuits made by himself and others, and has mascotted for four other teams. From what I could find, Richter's short two-year tenure was because the soccer team was sold to an owner who uh didn't like the idea of a furry being associated with the team. Yeah. Jeez.
SPEAKER_10A lot of a lot of mascots are furry. They kind of hide it. Yeah, they kind of hide it. Like Adler never never told his college that he was a furry when he was mascotting.
SPEAKER_09But in any case, Yippie seem seems like a really fun fur, and perhaps we can get him on the show in the future. So Tabin, I actually if yes, if he was interested. Direct line. That would be awesome.
SPEAKER_07See, I I've actually I know, yeah, okay. I will do my best. Sweet. I bet he has a lot of stories. So oh my um, Yippie's been guest of honor, and I mean you're you're not wrong about he has so many suits, he's been guest of honor several times. He's I think uh one of his phrases right now is that uh he's a retired guest of honor or something. Um but no, and he's a really great guy. I mean, I've met him in in in person several times, of course, and yeah, he's he's really great. So yeah, I'll definitely try and get him on the show.
SPEAKER_09Oh, that'd be terrific. Yeah, thank you much. But that's the news for this week.
SPEAKER_02Woo!
SPEAKER_07That's exciting. That was actually really I love they're really cool how it all came like around, at least for me, anyway.

SPEAKER_11Welcome to BFFT Labs. Why was that funny, Tabin? Why are you tickling Tabin?
SPEAKER_07I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_11I don't know. He's the beaker of BFFT Labs.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yes, he is.
SPEAKER_11That's right. Uh BFFT Labs, where we make the past feel like the future. As we look forward to season seven of BFFT, we're trying to come up with fresh new segments for your entertainment and our silliness. To that end, each episode from now until the season seven premiere, that is hard to say. We will try out one of our ideas for segments to see how they work and how you, our listeners, feel about it. Please let us know what you think by email or telegram or on the comment section on Buzz Sprout. So, on to this week's episode segment test. Bad advice from good furs. This is kind of like dear Abby. So, dear BFFT, I need advice regarding a close friend. Let's call him Bob. Bob is also a furry, but he doesn't have his own fur suit yet. Last weekend at Las Vegas FurCon, I made a huge mistake. I let Bob wear Barnaby, my full suit Husky. I love Barnaby. He's custom made, incredibly soft, and until now, he's always smelled like fabric softener and pride. Bob was in the suit for maybe 45 minutes walking around to see how he liked it. He promised he would take good care of it, but he must have been a biological active volcano inside that fursuit. When I got Barnaby back and did my routine inspection sniff, I almost passed out. He smells like an unventilated high school locker room after gym class. It's like a blend of stale sweat, wet dog, ironically, and a weird musk that is definitely not human or furry. I have watched the suit three times, used a gallon of specialized spray, and even tried baking soda. Nothing works. The scent is embedded in the lining. Now I can't wear Barnaby because I don't want people to think I smell like that. What should I do? This is my prize possession, and now I feel like I'm hugging a giant, sweaty foot. And should I tell Bob he is smelly? Signed Nosebind in New Hampshire. So guys, what's your advice to Noseblind?
SPEAKER_10So as a scuba diver, wetsuits get very smelly for obvious reasons. I mean, one, you're diving in either lakes or, you know, you may have to go number one in them while you're on a dive because it costs thousands of dollars to get to the said dive site. Uh so we have a product called Sink the Stink. It's an enzymatic cleaner that will get rid of like god-awful smells. Like I have had wetsuits that when I brought them home and pulled them out of the out of the bag, they smelled like a biological hazard.
SPEAKER_07Like, will it actually even me smell better?
SPEAKER_10Yes. I have never had anything that Sink the Stink wouldn't get out of. So go to Scupa website and look for Sync the Stink. It's a it's it's a concentrated product, it's expensive, but you get a lot of uses out of it. I highly recommend that they try Sync the Stink. And don't let other people borrow your para suits because uh biological hazards. There you go. TikTok, what were you gonna suggest? I say just own that stink. We've heard from the muskie uh lovers.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, we just yeah, I'd say just go ahead and add to it. Okay. Yeah, have some fun.
SPEAKER_07TikTok, I think we just learned not just one, but a few things about you just yes.
SPEAKER_08Well, well, you know, I enjoy smells, I do, but if he smells, if if his suit smells like dirty feet, you know, I think he does necessarily possibly does need to let Bob know that um that he might have a problem uh in terms of that. But maybe, maybe if he doesn't have the ability to buy the the stuff that Rain was talking about, you know, sink the stink. Sink the stink, that maybe maybe he's needs to ask Bob to have his fursuit professionally cleaned because there are places that you can take things of this nature like fursuits to and and get them desentified, so to speak. And um, it costs an ex an exorbitant amount of money, but I would say that maybe Bob needs to be the one to help pay for that, so to speak.
SPEAKER_15Yes. What about the old trick of putting it in the freezer, like you do with as many shoes? Uh maybe.
SPEAKER_14Bring Bob in the freezer? Yeah.
SPEAKER_11Then he won't stick anything else up anymore. Tavan, do you have any suggestions for desentifying, deodorizing a fursuit? No. Okay. Fair enough. All right. Well it's a lot better advice than me. I don't know. Okay. Uh, you know, uh theater actors always use a mixture of uh vodka and water on all the costumes, especially the traveling shows. They just spray those down uh quite a bit, and it does kill a lot of the bacteria.
SPEAKER_07So anyway.
SPEAKER_11Well, that was fun.
SPEAKER_07And and also some of the stomachteria, not just the bacteria. Oh no, oh no. Cheers. No, cheers.
SPEAKER_11So tell us what you think on Telegram or by email. Uh, we'd like to feature, we'd also like to feature furry musicians on our show. So if you're a furry musician and would like some exposure, worldwide exposure, please follow the link in the show notes to submit musical tracks. It could be vocal, instrumental, etc., and we will feature it on the show. Also, there is a link in the show notes for the uh best and worst con roommate stories that you want to share with us. SPEAKER_07I didn't have much time to do anything because I've been so busy, obviously, with stuff. So I just picked up my adventures of frog and toad and thought I would just do the next. I have the Sounds like a good idea. I'll just do that. Okay.
SPEAKER_08Just make sure you read all the words.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_08Oh, instead of every third.
SPEAKER_10That other thing was not good. No, that was not good.
SPEAKER_07I'll read all the words this time. Okay, this story is called the Hat. Damn. It's exciting already. On Toad's birthday, Frog gave him a hat. Toad was delighted.
SPEAKER_06Happy birthday, said Frog. Toad put on the hat. It fell down over his eyes. I am sorry, said Frog. That hat is much too big for you. I will give you something else. Oh my.
SPEAKER_08But how lighted was he? Wow. Is this actually a rated PG story?
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_15Happy birthday.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I'm gonna try and continue Okay.
SPEAKER_03No, okay, okay. I don't I don't know what's happening.
SPEAKER_15Okay, so Oh who's your sand.
SPEAKER_03Ah Okay.
SPEAKER_04I continue on. No said toad. I did stand on my thigh. I did a separate to me. I like it. I remember where it is.
SPEAKER_03This truck needs to stop right now. Come on, continue for a little bit. Let's see what happens, shall we? Okay. Frog and Toad went for a walk. Toad tripped over a rock. He bumped into a tree. He fell into a hole. Had a bad day.
SPEAKER_10Who's hole? I'm sure he did. Who's hole?
SPEAKER_04Come. Frog, said Toad. I can't see anything. I will not be able to wear your beautiful present. That is a this is a sad birthday for me. Okay. Frog and Toad were sad for a while. Then Frog said, Toad, hey here's what you must do.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I can do that. I can't help it.
SPEAKER_03Okay, okay, okay, okay. Here's what you must do.
SPEAKER_02Do not do that. Okay. Do not read what you do, Betty. You must think so very fast.
SPEAKER_03We'll continue this next time with this part one. Okay. I can't. I can't. I can't.
SPEAKER_10Poor Tabin. This is what happened when Contire Tabin tries to record. Yes. I love it.
SPEAKER_07So, um, next time, make sure to listen next time, all you first, when you try hear Tabin attempt to finish this story with exciting ending.
SPEAKER_11With an exciting ending. Alright, well, that takes us up to then. Okay, we're gonna take a breath, stop laughing, and uh we're gonna talk about our shameless plugs. And I'm gonna plug again, Royal Highness, even though we talked about it earlier, where the host enhance with cannabis and watch the show, then talk about while they're still enhanced, uh, they are currently watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix, so please give them some love. Vereen, what about you?
SPEAKER_10Well, as always, I've got Three to Who, the monthly Doctor Who podcast, where myself, Barley, and our British friend James talk about all things Doctor Who related. For April, we're talking about Bad Wolf. Uh new episodes drop at midnight Pacific on the last day of every month. Uh I also have a link tree. Link uh L-I-N-K-T-R-Y. If you want to see what I've been up to on my socials uh or find links to the podcasts I work on, that's the place to go. Uh also if any furs look yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_07Say that link I was interrupting you when you because and I need to go to that right now. So tell us again, how can we get to your link tree?
SPEAKER_10It's L-I-N-K-T-R dot E forward slash Rain Raccoon. If any fur is looking for freelance video or audio editing to take up some of their workload, I'm available. Hit me up on my telegram at Rain Raccoon. My rates are very reasonable. And I need the money. Please. Okay.

SPEAKER_09TikTok, what have what have you got the plug? Come get some hugs at Furlandia, and I'll also be doing my first fursuiting panel. Awesome.
SPEAKER_08Chitaro, how about you? Well, first I need to say if you see me at Plush on Saturday, the 9th of May, say hi and give me huggies. Um diapers? Yeah, the no, no, not huggies, the diapers. Huggies like huggies. That's a thing now.
SPEAKER_10There's no shame if you're A B DL. There's no shame in that.
SPEAKER_08I I've never, I've never, well, I can't say I've never in my whole life, but I have never in my adult life worn diapers. Okay. And I'm hoping I'm gonna knock on wood that I am not gonna ever have to do that, but that's another story. Um but all my cow. But also, uh Forlandia 2026, uh, which we've talked about earlier, is the 22nd of May through the 24th of May. We have literally, when this podcast drops, five days of pre-registration left. Oh my cow. So if you want to save ten dollars for coming to Furlandia, pre-register, because it's$60 through the end of this month.
SPEAKER_07And so is it seven, so uh through the end of this month. So can people still register online or do they have to wait until at the door?
SPEAKER_08So registration or excuse me, pre-registration, excuse me, will end on uh literally on May 1st at midnight. So literally the last day of this month at 11 59 p.m. is the last time you will be able to buy your tickets. Okay. If you do not get yourself pre-registered for Furlandia uh before the end of this month, you will have no problem coming to the con and pr and registering at the con, because we will allow you guys to do that and and uh pay at the door. Then it'll be$70. It'll be$70 at the door. Our our website is fully functional in terms of our dealer's den list and the map layout of where the dealers are going to be. The artist alley vendor list is there, the map layout of the artist alley is there, map of convention space, things of that nature. It's very nice. Also, just as a reminder to all you furs who have yet to get your hotel room, the end of our room block ends at also at the end of this month. So you literally have five days to get your room. If for some reason we have totally sold out the Hyatt Regency Hotel at Portland Convention Center, there will be another link in our on our website to book uh another nearby hotel. Um at the moment, I'm gonna say, knock on wood, that we have not gotten that far yet, but we are getting very close. Let me just say that. Also, I just want to say again that our guests of honor are going to be Kyle Gold. He'll be introducing a new book there, plus Jonas Scott. Um he's gonna have he's gonna actually be doing a panel about B-Stars. Also on our website, we'll have our schedule of events and all of the different panels that are going to be put on there. So uh so make sure you go to forlandia.org.org. Check out our website. It's there for all you furs to look at and and uh feel free to ask questions, you know, and and things of that nature, because we do have all sorts of emails that you can actually email to us and we will get them answered as quickly as we possibly can, seeing as there is like literally less than a month at this point when this comes out to con.
SPEAKER_07Oof. How excited! I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_08I can tell you guys that there's that we have more panels this year than Furlandia has ever had. And um, just as a rough guesstimation of the number of panels, uh just to give you a a heads up, we have well over 65 panels for our event. Wow, which is almost like 20% more than we had last year. The schedule's not out yet, but it will be by the time this um this episode airs. And so, and and I can tell you, Tabin, in all honesty, I can tell you that that your panels have been approved. So uh so you should be able to all sorts of fun. Yeah, you'll be able to do that. I have no idea what time they're scheduled, but I do know they're approved. Awesome. All right, so speaking of Tabin, what have you got to plug?
SPEAKER_07Well I'm plugging the well with a hole in the ground.
