:00 Opening and Introductions

SPEAKER_11

Hey, you know, uh uh my father was a conjoint twin and referred to him as our uncle on my father's side. Uh then when they were separated, he became our uncle once removed. And um, you know, you all know why six was afraid of seven, but no one ever talks about why eight was afraid of ten. You see, ten was in the middle of nine-eleven all along.

SPEAKER_02

We knew it.

SPEAKER_11

We knew it.

SPEAKER_02

Too soon?

SPEAKER_11

Too soon, maybe. I don't know. I went swimming yesterday.

SPEAKER_02

Did nine say to eight.

SPEAKER_11

Nice belt, bitch. Okay. So I went swimming yesterday and somebody asked me what my favorite stroke was, and I couldn't resist. I said the one that killed Lindsey Graham. Good one. And uh, I just realized that my ceiling isn't the best, uh, but it certainly is up there. But enough already. Let's let's roll the music. Well, greetings in Moobark Fluff to all the creatures in the Potterverse. I am Barely, and you are listening to Barely Fird Casting, featuring Taven. And we have a great show for you today. Joining me in the studio as always, or at least 99% of the time, is Taven. How are you?

SPEAKER_06

Well, hi uh 99%. Or am I the 1%? I am the 1%?

SPEAKER_11

No, no, you're you in the studio as always, or at least 99% of the time, is Tavin.

SPEAKER_06

So I am one percent.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_11

You're at least two percent, Taven. You're at least two percent, yes. He's just he's not skim. All right.

SPEAKER_06

And of course I I do want to say time for Jesse for a walk, how you should do about English. And I learned some facts about how certain things are rated. Um, around you know, for example, leather is rated based on its texture. Cows with abundant water sources have sulfur hides, so they are rated A, but hides from cows living in hot, dry climates are dehydrated.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. And of course, our regular Rogues Gallery of Furries is joining us here as well. Rain, Tech Talk, Chitaro, and Ziggy, how are all of you? Okay.

SPEAKER_03

So far so good.

SPEAKER_11

So far, so good.

:09 Title Explanation

SPEAKER_11

Uh I want to give a little podcast title explanation once again. Um we go back to Furlandia when we were playing cards against humanity with Friday and Adam. Shout out, Friday and Adam. And uh I had several bags of crunchy Cheetos, and Friday wanted to have some, but they didn't want the yellow Cheeto dust on their fingers, so they grabbed a pair of chopsticks from the food table and used them to eat their Cheetos. And so Cheetos with chopsticks.

SPEAKER_07

Great idea. When I read that, I thought for myself.

SPEAKER_11

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

When I read that, I thought to myself, you know, is that a dit on me? Because you know, I am a cheetah, and everybody thinks I'm part of a Cheeto.

SPEAKER_09

So then we eat you with chopsticks.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, this is rapidly R-rated category.

SPEAKER_03

Well, there's um uh a plastic gizmo that is like tiny chopsticks that you put on your thumb and your index to actually grab the Cheetos and snacks while you're gaming without uh putting all the uh yummy dust on the controller.

SPEAKER_07

That is crazy.

SPEAKER_11

I don't know if you can gum things up. I wouldn't eat my controller anyway. Taven. Hi,

:13 Listener Shoutouts

SPEAKER_11

hi do you have a shout out for any listeners this episode?

SPEAKER_06

Um I think so. Hold on. Are you holding on? Holding on yes, actually, I'm holding now a new I'm holding on to the new listener. Um shout out to Alquina Sun Dancer who has listened to every episode all the way through from the beginning to the end. This is a new one that I did not know about until just about an hour ago. So is there a story behind this one? No, because I didn't see any talk about it in the chat. So where did um Altina come from?

SPEAKER_02

Don't know. I know I know we have a new another new listener, Percival. Percival, yes.

SPEAKER_11

I remember Percival. Sir Percival. Sir Percival. We had a whole uh terrible pun run right after that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so um in fact uh we were talking about the puns just a second ago with Percival.

SPEAKER_03

So it's free from the pun.

SPEAKER_06

No, no, no, no. So so in summary, in summary, Al Tina Sundancer gets a shout out.

unknown

Woo!

SPEAKER_07

Hello, Gina. Hello, Altina, hello Tina with us.

SPEAKER_02

And Percival gets a a mildly loud whisper out.

:19 What Day is Today?

SPEAKER_11

So I thought it would be interesting to find out what day what today was, because every day is some sort of national something or other, right? So we're recording this on July 14th, which is National Nudes Day.

SPEAKER_02

Wait a minute.

SPEAKER_11

There you go.

SPEAKER_02

So too cold here.

SPEAKER_11

So all of you that enjoyed your air baths on July 14th, we salute you and revel in your body. And Taven, you're gonna love this one. This episode releases on July 25th, which is drum roll please. National Cow Appreciation Day. So if you see a cow, uh go tell them that uh you appreciate them. Unfortunately, Hallmark does not have any cards that focus on these special days. Business idea, maybe? And could you just think about it?

SPEAKER_03

Thank you for your lactose.

unknown

Right, thank you for your lactose.

SPEAKER_11

And just think of the Hallmark Channel movies, dancing cheek to cheek, a tan all over, kibbles and bits, and the cow one, a cow for Christmas in July, bovine load, utter madness, and of course, the crossover, utterly unclothed. And the list goes on and on and on. I've seen that one.

SPEAKER_07

I think I have too.

SPEAKER_11

It's also Bastille Day. Bastille day. Yes, in France. Uh I will get my maybe five a whore lookout.

SPEAKER_02

Somebody's gonna try to steal your bath.

SPEAKER_11

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my let's mange.

SPEAKER_11

Ooh. La Flamage from the flange to the man, to the hand, to the sand. Taven, why don't we get zen?

SPEAKER_04

The

:22 Furmations

SPEAKER_04

window to the wolf.

SPEAKER_11

Why don't you get Zen with us and uh give us some formations?

SPEAKER_04

Because I don't even know what was happening just now.

SPEAKER_03

Neither do I have no idea what it was. Yes, so off the rails.

SPEAKER_05

Frau Youfers that don't know. Why am I speaking like this? I don't know.

SPEAKER_06

I'm having a flashback to last last time. I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna do that.

SPEAKER_04

But I will say, for all you first that may not know, we have this episode this uh this episode uh has a segment on it that is on every segment.

SPEAKER_10

Smooth, David, smooth.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not doing it.

SPEAKER_02

Such a professional Yeah, like we've only been doing this for seven years now, so I'm having troubles.

SPEAKER_05

Um Affirmations. We love you, yay. Affirmations. Where I and these days I'm reading from these little doggy cards with these doggies that say things on it. And so I'll just do that because I don't even know what else is going on apparently. So, first one is this little doggy. Oh, he's so cute, fluffy! And he says, I lead with confidence and purpose. And on the back, it says leadership activity. Identify an area in your life where you can take on a leadership role, even if it is small.

SPEAKER_06

And the next one is um Adobe, adornment! I love governments.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, and you will love what this one is saying. He is saying, I am vigilant in guarding my peace of mind.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, so true.

SPEAKER_11

For any listener out there that remembers when we started this a woo thing after each one, please let us know. I remember.

SPEAKER_02

Oh I know whose fault it is too.

SPEAKER_05

I do too. Okay. He's pointing to himself. On the back, it still says guard your time. Set boundaries around your time, especially with demands that do not align with your priorities.

SPEAKER_02

That is a very Doberman-centered card.

SPEAKER_06

I guess oh when this one has oh, he's so cute! It's it's an Aussie. And he's so cute.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my! And he says, I share joy and happiness with those around me. And on the back it says, share a smile. Make it a point to smile, and share a kind word with at least one person each day.

SPEAKER_04

This act of kindness can brighten someone else's day and increase your own happiness. So why do you sound sad saying? I was just gonna say that.

SPEAKER_08

I don't know.

:14 Media

SPEAKER_11

Well, uh, now it's time for that section we all love to love, the media section.

SPEAKER_08

So I st okay, Taven.

SPEAKER_11

It's alright. It's okay. Easy boy. Down, down, sit, sit, biscuit, leave the leaf alone. Alright. So I started watching back episodes of Fringe. I love that show. Love it. And yeah, it was a great show. I've of course I've been watching RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul's Drag Race Untucked, uh, some more Stargate Atlantis and the latest episode of Vampire Lestat. And uh one more episode of Sanctuary. I'm kind of digging that one.

SPEAKER_02

Sanctuary is really underrated. It was really ambitious for the time. It was mostly done green screen. So it's a little it's a little janky, but it's janky in a good way. Yeah. It's it's fun. It's fun. It's fun. It's fun.

SPEAKER_03

Every time I see RPDR, I cannot think of anything else but raccoon police department from that game.

SPEAKER_11

The the the RuPaul Police Department?

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, Raccoon City Police.

SPEAKER_02

RPD, yeah. RPD. Yes. The zombie game.

SPEAKER_03

What was it?

SPEAKER_11

Resident Evil.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, thank you.

SPEAKER_11

Resident Evil, thank you. There we are. All right. Taven, what have you been media in?

SPEAKER_03

Hello. Hi, hola.

SPEAKER_06

Le fui, le um Las Nachos es muy bien.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know what that means, but it sounds good. Interesting pronunciation. The nachos are really good here, and your pants are on fire. Yes.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

That is good to know. So, besides watching that, um uh oh, I finished season three of B Stars finally. Yay! We knew I'd get there, just we didn't know when. Um, no, really good, really, really great show. Wow, the ending was bloody. But yeah, um, anyway, for all you furs that haven't watched it yet, it's really great, really wonderful. Be prepared for a little bit of um gore at the end, but it's really good. It didn't, just for any fur that might be hasn't seen it and might be worried, because sometimes really good shows end on a like devastating, stupid note and everything. I know some people think, for example, Lost is an example of that. I didn't think the Lost wasn't that bad of an ending. Anyway, but I just want all you furs to know that um, no, this does end on a good note, so definitely don't be scared. It's really good. A few little um like recently I've been like mentioning some really cool scenes, and I have some fun scenes in a few of the um last few episodes. And one of the um Lagoshi is in a quiz session. I won't say what it's for, uh, you first have to watch, but he's he's doing a quiz session game type thing for you'll have to see why. And one of the questions is to describe the mood and or reason for several tail positions and gestures. So he's got a list uh four pictures, and there's tail positions and gestures, and he has to say what they are like one of them is happy and one of them is sad and stuff. The last one was missed season finale, and the tail was just hanging straight down. Tabin.

SPEAKER_11

Oh Tabin, where did you go?

SPEAKER_09

The tail positions were too much. The tail positions were too much.

SPEAKER_07

He exploded just his tail moved so fast.

SPEAKER_02

Well, uh, in that case, uh let's go on to Rain. What have you been media in? Okay, so I haven't really been watching much, uh, but I have been playing new DLC for Doom, the Dark Ages, uh, which is called Revelations. Wow, it's really good. Like for the for the price, it's like 19 bucks or something like that. Or I got it on sale at maybe 20 something. It's like a whole nother game. Like it's almost three-quarters the length of the first one, I think. Uh wow. Really good. Uh, you get um, so you get uh a great new story that you know kind of tells the Doomslayer's life, what happened to cause him to be in the Doomslayer and all that stuff. You get a really new fun weapon called uh the chain spear, uh, and it like brings a whole new level of mobility across the map and stuff, uh, as well as you can throw it at enemies and hold on to it and circle around them while you're while you're firing at them on the chain.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, it's a very enthusiastic hog. Yes.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, okay. I was thinking more like a chainsaw where you have like multiple.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, it's like a you throw the spear and there's a chain attached to it, and you can pull yourself or enemies to you. It's really fun. Uh it's a neat new mechanic that they added to the game, which really kind of livened it back up. Uh so if you have Doom, the Dark Ages, uh, go pick up Revelations on Steam because it's really good. And then, because Tabin had the Doberman thing, I've also been watching, I found this Doberman on uh YouTube called Cowboy. He's this just cute kind of puppy. He has he's a real Doberman, not a furry Doberman, but uh he like he's hilarious. He sleeps with his feet like straight up in the air. He's he's just a big dork. Like most people think Dobermans are these are these vicious killers. No, they're really sweet, dumb, derpy dogs.

SPEAKER_03

And he's terrified of flies.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, he's terrified of flies. He he hides under the table if there's a fly in the house. Oh no.

SPEAKER_11

I'll have to check that out. I'll have to check that out. All right. Ziggy, what have you been with Ziggy? What have you been media in?

SPEAKER_03

I've been trying to guess what? Flying for night, yay! Trying to meet on Sprite Monday, yes, every Monday on the game you can uh gain more sprite dust and get them to level up faster. Anyway, I'm trying to get as many uh sprites as possible, which I just learned that aren't cute, whimsical little companions that I'm rescuing. When I put them in the traction box, they are sent to become fuel to stabilize zero point. So yeah, you're not like, oh, I'm saving you. No, I'm turning you into fuel. Happy days!

SPEAKER_02

Still on my deal list. Okay. He still keeps falling asleep. Yeah. Alright.

SPEAKER_09

TikTok, how about you? See, usual Jeopardy, RuPaul All-Stars, uh, Condregs to all the finalists, and good luck to Dawn. Or um, let's see, what would you call her? Um Mascot Ferry? I don't know. Again, something to the fandom. See, also bad yachters, aka below deck Mediterranean. They are very, very bad. Crew and guests included. But they've been getting some really good tips. I will say that.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Tips for sailing?

SPEAKER_09

Well, yeah, muddy, like cash tips for the city. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yes, okay. Getting tips, tips, tips.

SPEAKER_07

Chitaro, what are you doing? Uh what have you been meany-ing about? Well, we watched this 2025 horror movie called Mudborne. It's a Taiwanese movie about a video game developer who finds a strange pottery figure that is possessed by an evil spirit wanting to take over his pregnant wife. Oh, how exciting.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, there's some pretty interesting and intense scenes. Like there's this one where where the wife of this game developer takes a knife, stabs it into her chest, and just rips it across her chest. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It was actually, you know, it it it it made Pink Lemon and I kind of cringe because it's like, oh my god. I don't usually cringe like that.

SPEAKER_02

Horror movies are fantastically gory.

SPEAKER_07

Oh yeah, for sure, for sure. And this one, this one is definitely that. But we also watched the 2010 movie Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp. Oh, yes. It's a very strange movie. I I didn't realize that I had seen it before, and then we watched it, and then I realized I remembered the ending, but I didn't remember the beginning. So um, so it was rather interesting. But it it is kind of a fun, uh, fun movie. Uh specifically since it was so good as the Mad Hatter.

SPEAKER_11

I think Depp was I he I think he had to be high on cocaine the entire time he found. Oh, heck, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So like I didn't like the dancing at the end.

SPEAKER_07

Uh yeah, it was kind of different. But you know, it is it is based upon a Disney movie. Well, based upon a Disney movie that was based upon a book that was uh that this movie is 10 years beyond the Disney movie and the book. So so you know, kind of all those things. But um, but we also watched this movie, um, this 2021 movie called Ron's Gone Wrong. It it is a very interesting story because it's a story of a kid who wants to fit in with the rest of his school, who all of his schoolmates get this robot that's made by this tech giant called Bubble, which reminds me of Apple so much. Yes, um and and so he he wanted this for his birthday, but he didn't get it, and ended up um his father goes and gets him a damaged one, and it's not like the rest because it doesn't have all of the safety features that these the new robots have, right? Yeah, absolutely, scratch and dent. Yeah, and so so this robot does the one thing that most of these robots don't, it slaps kids and beats down police officers and all sorts of fun stuff. But but you know, the the whole movie is kind of awesome because it's basically a movie about friendship and growing up and living your life as a kid, so to speak. So it is kind of fun. We totally caught up on all of the episodes of American Dad. We are totally up to date with American Dad now. So all 20 seasons are now behind us. I know. Yeah, absolutely. The same with Family Guy, that's where we are. So, so I I I've been inspired by you, Barely, because you said you've been watching Rick and Morty, all the new episodes, and I haven't seen any of the last two seasons, so I said, okay, we need to start doing this. So we started watching uh Rick and Morty from season one. Nice. We're now in season two, so it's kind of fun to watch because you know I remember all of the episodes from season one and two, and some of them are really funny. The one we just watched last night was the one where where uh Rick's car ends up, his battery dies, and he has to go inside of the battery because he created a multiverse in there, and then you find out that he created a multiverse, and they're in the process of inside of there to create another multiverse. Yeah, it it was rather interesting. So so I love watching Rick and Morty, it's kind of fun. I've also been continuing to play Disney Dream Life Valley. I just obtained Lady and the Tramp, so that's kind of fun.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So so far now I'm all caught up in terms of that game, too. There's no I I have to wait till they release the new person and so on and so forth. But um yeah. And in addition, I've also been playing Forza Horizon 6 and Bistro. And um I was gonna ask Taven, but he keeps bouncing in and out whether he actually purchased it and started playing it or not.

SPEAKER_11

So Well, uh if he comes back. Yes, he uh listener, he's been popping in and off of our recording session, and I'm not sure why and what's going on over there.

:21 Furry News

SPEAKER_11

So uh let's move along to the furry news.

SPEAKER_09

Alrighty then. So to start things off with, the good furry awards is open for voting through August 24th at Uncle Bear Publishing.com.

SPEAKER_08

Yay!

SPEAKER_09

And the categories include Good Egg Award, Image Award, Fortastic Award, and our very own BFFT podcast is nominated for the Image Award. So obligatory plug to go for kind of come and vote for us. Right?

SPEAKER_11

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_09

And also today, furs, today is AC Palooza in the news. Like all the um fallout from Anthrocon. Uh so all things related to AnthroCon, which was held over July 4th weekend. First up is the attendance at Oh MyCow 20,618. Yes, that's a lot of fur. And this is the first fur con to have broken 20,000. Wow, yeah. Uh huh. Yeah, yeah, congrats. And I imagine that MFF and uh furry week in Atlanta are champing or clawing at the bit or whatever to try to be like, oh, we are going to outdo this. Let's see, uh, over $86,000 was raised for JJ Farms Animal Sanctuary, which is a bit off from their record year of over a hundred thousand in 2024 for Greypaw Sanctuary, but that's still a pretty decent number. AC has been held in Pittsburgh since 2006 and has brought hundreds of millions of revenue for the city. The event is prominently featured in visit Pittsburgh, travel sites, brochures, whatnot. Local TV news routinely gives AC uh coverage, with news anchors appearing wearing fuzzy ears and ear-to-ear grins.

SPEAKER_03

The furries are back. Yay taking over the world.

SPEAKER_09

And to celebrate that, Pittsburgh Mayor Corey O'Connor declared July first, twenty twenty-six, AnthroCon Day, prompting cheers from all. Note that this is an annual thing. Yet soon.

SPEAKER_02

Ah, I think it will be. Yes. They make a lot of money off of us. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, yes. And some hilarious posts have been made about AnthroCon, including from Vex Werew Werewolf. I remember a Pittsburgh news outlet writing an article. Oh, great, a bunch of dirty, smelly, rude, sex-crazed animals are converging on Pittsburgh to get drunk, trash local establishments, and assault innocent locals. But enough about Kenny Chenzi fans. In happier news. In happier news, the furries are here. And from Austin Devania, and this is a little bit sanitized version. Places directly outside furry conventions. The gays have shown up. Why are they here? Places near Athracon. Hell yeah. The animal people are back. They have money. Rename the streets. Cover our walls and your gay ass stickers. 14% ABV wolf piss slushy, 11 bucks. We love you. However, there were some little hiccups due to a code red advisory or heat advisory, which predicted temperatures approaching 110 degrees Fahrenheit with humidity. Anthrocon was forced to cancel the Satur Saturday fursuit parade and the block party because of health concerns for suitors, attendees, and spectators alike. Some were disappointed, of course, but the decision was largely supported. A couple of my friends that go to AC regularly have referred to the fursuit parade in the past as the Death March. You know, it's for those who don't know, it can last up to upwinds of three hours long. It's um it's a haul, even in better conditions.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Attendees were encouraged to spend time in the air conditioning convention center and have smaller gatherings, activities, so forth, that sort of thing. Last up, Ziggy alerted me to an incident where an attendee, motor mutt, somehow lost their fursuit head on a highway in the convention. A non-fur who was driving past uh picked up the head, and a scene on a video taken by attendees over the highway from a balcony. The passerby got out of their blue car, tried to toss the head upwards to another balcony, but couldn't make it. Um so the passer, yeah, the passerby then got back in their car as you know, traffic was starting to approach. You know, you don't want to cause road hazard there. Uh, and they drove off. But he was able to give the head to an actual attendee, Kanye uh Ian, uh, and presumably at the convention center or nearby. And Ian took the head to the convention operations who contacted the rightful owner.

SPEAKER_10

Yay.

SPEAKER_09

Now, I've been unable to pinpoint how Motormutt lost lost his head on the highway to begin with. He has some rather cryptic reply posts regarding the incident. You know, like I will do this again for freedom. He's rather politically active. So I don't know if he was, you know, yeah, we'll see. We'll see. Yeah, we'll see. So if any of you furs know more about the incident, please send us the info via email or the BFFT telegram group.

SPEAKER_11

Awesome.

SPEAKER_09

Yes, and that's the news for this week.

:03 Upcoming Events

And then we finally jump out to the next weekend, which is uh July 31st through August 2nd. It uh is the Tabin convention that he's going to? It's not the Tabin Convention. Because the entire convention about Tabin would be interesting to say the least. Too much. That would be a lot. Uh Anthro weekend.

SPEAKER_07

Would that mean that it was only weird Allen stories?

SPEAKER_11

Oh, he would do all of his bits, I'm sure. Anther Weekend, Utah takes place July 31st through August 2nd at in Leighton, Utah. Osaka Furry Fun Festa. Festa takes place in Osaka, Japan, August 1st through the 2nd. Bratislava Fur Fest takes place August 3rd. It's one day, in Bratislavia, Slovakia, East, 2026. (Cont.) :15 Movie Review

SPEAKER_07

I can say that this week I am reviewing a movie that that was in theaters not that long ago. Oh. But now it is actually streaming on Amazon Prime Video. And if you are an Amazon Prime person, you can get this movie for free. This movie is, like I said, it is called The Sheep Detectives. So this movie, it it has you Jackson in it.

SPEAKER_02

You Jackman, you mean?

SPEAKER_07

I Yes, I'm so sorry.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

On his father's side.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

It's his uncle on his father's side. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

I was so I write my notes for various things while I'm watching the movie, and my and and while they were talking, they said something, and then they said a name, and it was like similar to something son. And I wrote, instead of writing you, Jackman, I wrote Jack's son. So it was just a stupid mistake on my part. But anyway, yes, thank you. It was huge. What could I say? No, I'm kidding. Um, but you Jackman plays a sheep farmer, and he has this perfect philosophy on how to take care of sheep. You treat them with respect, you read stories to them every night, and you have to give look in their eyes and stare at his their eyes because by staring in the sheep's eyes you can get what their name is, and that way you can give them a name. It's fine, kind of funny because you know, the the first like 20 to 30 minutes um you you know, we're seeing him do all sorts of stuff, and and then all of a sudden, poof, he's dead. And the sheep are so devastated, they're going, oh my god, where is he? Where is he? Oh, well, they found him, and they go, Oh, and of course, one of them, because the stories that he was reading to these sheep were interesting stories. Like one of them was like a murder mystery, right? Well, there's one sheep named Lily who ends up always knowing what's gonna happen at the end. She's very uh perceptive, and um, and so she says, We need to solve this murder because you know he was murdered and we have to solve this. And so the whole rest of the movie are the sheep trying to solve this murder. They need to go into town, and I I'm I'm only saying this because it's really hilarious. They need to go into town, and one of the sheep is directing them, and they have to cross a road. Well, the sheep have always been in the meadow, and so they've never crossed a road before, and they go, I don't know how to do this, I have no idea. What am I supposed to do? Well, out of the blue, a chicken shows up and crosses the street. Okay. To show the sheep why. Yeah, why do chickens cross the road to get to the other side? So, needless to say, the sheep the sheep end up going, well, if that chicken can do it, then you know, and so they cross the road and you know, so on and so forth. But there's all sorts of fun things that happen, you know. The sheep are are constantly staring at some of the people in this town because the town where this takes place in is like a town of like maybe 30 or 40 people. It's a very, very, very small town. Everybody knows everybody and and stuff. And so these sheep are staring at certain people and always staring at them and stuff. But it's funny because you know, they're trying, you know, we can hear the sheep talk. The sheep talk amongst themselves. And one of the people that actually voices one of the sheep is is Patrick Stewart. Oh god. Yeah, yeah. Um so the sheep then decide that you know they need to try to say who who it is that got that killed um the farmer. And it's like, you know, then they they decide, oh yeah, this is who it is, and and the policeman actually arrest that person, and and then they realize, no, no, it's not that right person, and so they have to do something like this. But but you know, I'm gonna say that as as fun as this was, the music that goes along with it is is amazing. Uh it's amazingly impressive um how far animation has gone in terms of making animals talk. I remember some of the first movies back in the 80s, which I I had to think about this for a while, but Benji was a movie that ended up talking and had the dog talking. And if you remember in the 80s and you've ever watched those movies of Benji talking, that was a horrible thing watching the mouth because you'd see little tiny grips, if if you were paying attention, you'd see little glips of emptiness, so to speak, as the mouth was opening and closing. Now computers are so good that the animation that happens on these things, you know, they look like the animals are talking. Their teeth all move properly and their tongues come out and things of that nature. And so it's kind of awesome and amazing that they they did this, you know. In in addition to Patrick Stewart being a voice in this movie as well, um, a couple of other people I wanted to make note of that was rather hilarious was Brian Cranston was a voice of one of the sheep. And Julia Louise Dreyfus is also a voice of as a matter of fact, she is the voice characters. Yeah, she is the voice actually of the of the main sheep that actually solves the murder, so to speak. Yeah, so so it was rather fun. Um, you know, I recommend this movie to anybody and everybody because, you know, first off, I personally think you Jackman is an awesome actor. Um the fact that he actually uses I would have to agree. Yeah, the fact that he actually uses his real voice and not a you know an Americanized version of his voice, because in Wolverine he Americanizes his voice. So he Canadianizes it. Canadianizes it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so, but this one you actually get to hear, you know, the the the Aussie come out, so to speak, a little bit. So even though this is supposed to be filmed in England, it's kind of a weird thing. But it's kind of nice. I I love the movie for for all of the different reasons. It made me laugh. There was actually um one scene that made me cry. I'm not gonna say what that was. You'll know it when you see it, because it was very sad when it happened. But I'm giving this a four and a half chirp rating. Wow. Because, you know, this this blew my mind in terms of everything. There are a few things that I didn't quite understand. There's a scene where where the goats end up climbing on top of each other. And if you've ever, or not goats, sheep. If you've ever seen sheep, they never stand on top of each other. I've never seen a sheep stand on top of another sheep.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, goats.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I was thinking goats, because goats always will stand on other things. Nobody cares. But sheep, you never see sheep standing on other sheep. And and they've they actually uh showed several times sheep standing on other sheep. So it's like, okay, well, you're getting a little knockoff of my chart here, so no big deal. But other than that, it was really an excellent movie. So if if you guys are gonna watch it, like I said, it's free right now on Amazon Prime, the sheep detectives. It's it's worth the watch for sure.

SPEAKER_11

Taven, are you back with us again?

SPEAKER_06

Uh this time,

:18 Taebyn Catches Up

SPEAKER_06

yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. So if if you start talking about B stars and it goes blank again, then clearly something in that universe does not want you talking about B stars. So we're gonna we're gonna jump into what you were saying before you left the first time, and then tell us what you've been doing with media, and then jump right into anything that confuses you, and then we will go into your game. You said I watched season three of B Stars, and then you were talking about when he was at a uh the gore at the end, and then you talked about how Ligoshi was at a contest, and then then you were gonna say And he was about wagging his tail and what the waggings meant. Right, and then you went blank. So, what did the waggings mean?

SPEAKER_06

So that there were four pictures of different uh like positions and gestures of tails, and Lugoshi was supposed to name what the like emotion or you know, whatever mood um that represented. And they were like happy, sad, whatever. In the last one, the tail was straight, hanging straight down, and the answer was Mist C Sid Finale. That was adorable.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, I mean it's true to life too. Um, and also another scene actually in the same episode, but Lugoshi and Louis were talking on the balcony um about like a work thing, basically, and the sun was shining down, and all of a sudden, like a romantic sounding music starts. I don't know if it was supposed to be romantic sounding, but it definitely sounded remote romantic sounding. So, yay, Lugoshi and Louie, I guess. So that's what I was gonna say. So it was really good. Um, we finished Resident Alien, really great um stuff. We finished suburgatory season two. We started season two of Animal Control, um Royal Match Blue. Uh I started StarCraft 2 game and I haven't gotten very far. I tried Stranger Things in VR, but I couldn't get the controls to do what I wanted it to. It told me what I was supposed to do, and I I just couldn't do it, so I didn't get very far with that.

SPEAKER_02

Kind of a broken game. Oh, you've t okay, so even Wolf and VR had trouble with it if I remember.

SPEAKER_06

Um maybe I'll watch him complain about it, then we can commiserate together from afar. Um and then I played some more Battlemark. So I made some more uh video con I recorded more episodes of me playing Battlemark and um as of now. They're not edited and posted, but I will post those on my my YouTube as the continuing journey story where I'm just playing the game, and so first can watch me play the game. And that's what I've been meeting. We made it through. We made it through.

SPEAKER_11

Are you confused about anything?

SPEAKER_06

Well, why I made it through, yes. Okay. But also, this is actually another thing I watched, but I thought this was actually more appropriate to put in what I'm confused about than the media section. So I I watched the first episode of Madey season, and I got so confused. I didn't have any idea what was going on. I think like I need to need more education or something, um, or take a special class, but uh that that is a that is a high school level show, and you are clearly just out of preschool. I am yeah I pretty much am so maybe maybe I have to take a class or two in something.

SPEAKER_02

We can put him in special sex education. Special sex education, special sex education. I don't know. Why does that sound wrong? Very wrong.

SPEAKER_11

So I'll just end it with saying that's what I'm confused about. Okay, all right. Now, would you like to uh take the the game section of our show?

:22 Let's Play a Game

SPEAKER_06

I thought what we do for our game this time would be quote unquote story continuation. This is actually just something everyone pretty much knows, I think. Like small variation, um, where so we go around and each one of us says three words of a story. So we don't know what the story is, but we're all just gonna make up a story. And so um we'll start with in my in my little thing here. Very first, then rain, then ziggy, then owl do three, then TikTok does three, then Chitaro does three, and then we just keep going around until we've done it. Um that sound good? Sure, we'll see what we can do. I have no idea how it's gonna go if it's an IDI hat. So um three weeks. I don't even know what the title of the story is, so barely start us out.

SPEAKER_02

In the woods, there is a cabin. There's a cabin. There was a cabin.

SPEAKER_06

Very big and cozy. Oh, me. Um until what? One day.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, uh Kevin appeared in the cabin.

SPEAKER_06

Wait, say that again?

SPEAKER_09

Kevin was in the cabin. That's too many words. Oh shit. Um Kevin in cabin.

SPEAKER_07

Kevin decided to climb the walls with his spatula.

SPEAKER_03

And chase squirrels.

SPEAKER_06

Until Ambie shit.

SPEAKER_09

Uh-oh, that might it's Godzilla.

SPEAKER_07

I should move.

SPEAKER_11

Said Kevin to Godzilla in fright.

SPEAKER_09

To the HOA.

SPEAKER_06

Well, that sucks.

SPEAKER_09

Godzilla. Bad HOA.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe next time HIWA will bark backwards fastly.

SPEAKER_06

While drinking beer. And purple leprechauns.

SPEAKER_09

Juicy squish monsters.

SPEAKER_11

Decide to play outside the end.

SPEAKER_02

I couldn't think of anything.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, and and the title of so everyone, so this is a five-word title, and everyone gets one word. So that barely started off off. What's the title of this story? Kevin of Giggs. Ambiatized. Kevin.

SPEAKER_07

There's a way. There's nothing else to say after that. That's a great title. There's nothing else to say after that.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, Chitaro, your word is is.

SPEAKER_07

There we go.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, there. Now we have a title.

SPEAKER_09

Kevin is.

SPEAKER_07

Kevin is. Oh wow.

SPEAKER_06

Well, that was uh that was a thing.

SPEAKER_09

Adventure, yes.

SPEAKER_06

So all you furs, make sure to let us know what you thought about that thing that just happened and how riveting that story was. Um, and we will be excited to know you actually did not stop listening to the show once we started that.

SPEAKER_11

As soon as we started that, the listeners went, What are these morons doing now? Oh they always say that.

SPEAKER_06

It's not our first time, so I'm not surprised, but still.

SPEAKER_11

David, do you have some math for us this time?

SPEAKER_02

I do, I do, I do. Please tell us it's not three words

:14 Math

SPEAKER_02

at a time.

SPEAKER_06

Three words at a time, we'll all do go around, do math. Um, one, two, three, four. Okay, no. Um. So thanks to Burley for the idea to do some math riddles. Um, so I have five little math riddles. I thought it might be fun to do. Little side note, if you actually search for math riddles, you get mostly actually math word problems. These would be the kind of problems that you find like in an algebra homework set or something. So I thought, let's like do actual riddles, not like to solve a math problem. So I tried to find five five that um seem fun and interesting and more riddle-esque. Let's do that. So the first one is on my way to Portland. Why did I all of a sudden stop and think that the next person had to take the next five words? I'm kind of in that mode. Okay, okay. I'll I'll start again and just say no that. On my way to Portland, I saw a man with seven wives. Each wife had seven sacks, each sack had seven cats, each cat had seven kittens. So we have kittens, cats, sacks, and wives. How many were going to Portland? One. One, I just Yay! I knew everyone would get it. Yes. So for any fur out there that didn't get it, it's one. It's just me going to Portland. Okay. If you have 30 red socks, 20 white socks, and 10 blue socks, how many do you need to pick to get at least one pair without looking? Four. Oh, Barely, you are a smart bearer, yes. Exactly. Did every fur get why it's only four? No.

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_06

Because it doesn't actually matter how many, the thing is there's only three uh colors of socks. So you just pick four, and it doesn't matter what you get, you get one of the other colors.

SPEAKER_07

Isn't it okay to you put two socks of different colors next to each other?

SPEAKER_11

It is now. I see that all the time. I saw so many furs at Furlandia wearing socks of different colors.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, it's the thing. We are in the crazy zone. That's a sock of a different color. Sock it to me, I guess. Or something. I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

Or something.

SPEAKER_06

The shoe is definitely on the other.

SPEAKER_07

Or or or as Richard Nixon said, sock it to me? Yes.

SPEAKER_06

I am a burlinger.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Um, so the next one is So multiply the number of thumbs that everyone in the world has, what is the result? Multiply them by what? Like take the number take them all and multiply them.

SPEAKER_11

So if you take everybody in the world and multiply them by the number of thumbs, what do you get as a result? Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Number. Zero? Two of everybody in the world.

SPEAKER_11

No, TikTok is correct.

SPEAKER_07

TikTok is correct.

SPEAKER_09

You can't multiply a thumb.

SPEAKER_11

Well, there's gotta be somebody out there that doesn't have thumbs.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, barely, barely got it, barely got it. Um I am a number, but when you add G to me, I go away. What number am I? One. Okay, you all got that. Yes. So for any of you first out there out there that didn't get it, it is one because you add a G to the front and you get gone. So it's gonna be. Okay. And the last one. These are so easy. I need to pick harder ones next time, my lord. That's what I indicated. So the last one is, okay, so I'm going to um write, I'm going to say some numbers in a sequence, and there's a blank in the sequence, and you have to fill in the blank. So you might I'll say I'll say first I might need to repeat it so you can write it down. But the numbers are 16, 06, 68, 88, blank, and 98.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. 06, 68, 88, blank, and 98. So we need to go with the blank number. Um 79.

SPEAKER_07

No. Okay. 90 92. 08.

SPEAKER_06

No. Oh. Oh, did no one get this one? Nope, no one got it. Okay. Let me give you a hint.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. Turn it 180 degrees. So flip it upside down.

SPEAKER_10

Flip it upside down. Then it's 8L 88 899091. Boobies.

SPEAKER_11

Boobies. Say that I can barely. Well, then it's then it's 8L because you got 99. Or 86. Or 86. Or an 86. 86. 86.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. 88 8990.

SPEAKER_11

I don't know. What's the frickin' number? What's missing from that series, Tabin? Oh, sure. It has to be late. L8. Sure. It has to be. Sure. He gives us a problem and then disappears again.

SPEAKER_08

I see how he is.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. Well, any listener out there, if you figured it out, write in, let us know, and we will uh tell you if you're right or wrong eventually.

SPEAKER_02

And he says ac internet dropped again.

SPEAKER_11

Uh ac. Well, let's get take us to our uh shameless plugs. I, of course, have uh Royal Heems. Oh, you're back.

SPEAKER_06

Uh is it L8? It's 87. 87. You get 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91. Uh when it's upside down.

SPEAKER_10

When it's upside down. 89. Yeah, 86, 87, 80. Uh.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, shapeless plugs. Uh uh talking about Royal Highness. They're currently viewing the new

:04 Shameless Plugs

SPEAKER_11

season of House of the Dragon, so tune in and have a laugh or two.

SPEAKER_02

And then there is Reto Who, the Doctor Who podcast, where Barely, myself, and our British friend James discuss all things Doctor Who, the upcoming July episode at the end of the month that we're talking about is uh Unit Part 2. Our favorite uh it's gonna be our favorite unit episodes, and we're also talking about the cancellation of the current run of Doctor Who, show being put up for competitive bid to see who will be the new production company. Hint the BBC is strongly in the running to produce the show that they already own. I I don't get it, but then there's there's of course my YouTube channel, Raccoon, where I tell stories of true crimes, abandoned places, and strange history and odd tales. You can find it at youtube.com forward slash at rain raccoon. I also have my social media and project links available on my Linktree. L-I-N-K-T-R dot E forward slash rain raccoon. And finally, the uh, like I said last time, the next uh con that Ziggy and I will be attending is postural in August in Santiago of Chile.

SPEAKER_03

Yay!

SPEAKER_02

Yay! Looking forward to hearing how that all goes. Ziggy, what are they? Uh it's gonna be interesting because they uh one little side note, they have limited your room occupancy to two people. Huh. Oh. And it seems like they're not even allowing like guests to come into the room, or for some reason, apparently. I think they're gonna abandon that really quickly when they realize how much of a boatload of money they're making off of us. Yes. So we'll we'll see what happens.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Ziggy? Give me your sprite in Fortnite, and I won't pew pew you. Just give me that. I need them, I need them. I'm sure there's three. I need three more. Thank you.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, three more.

SPEAKER_06

You also need six or seven more, I think.

SPEAKER_11

Yes. Yes. Okay, I'm gonna look at it. Damn it, Tabin. All right, Chitaro, how about you? What do you got to plug?

SPEAKER_07

Well, Furlandia 2027, ready for a one. Uh, we're gonna start doing volunteer applications. They'll be available on our website, Furlandia.org, starting on the 1st of August. Pre-registration will also begin sometime before the end of August, um, because we're we're gearing up for doing something that we've never done at Furlandia before, and that is we're gonna be a part of of the um Rose City Comic-Con, which is the 11th through the 13th of September.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

So we're going there, and as ironic as this is going to sound, Jonah Scott and Griffin Poitu are also going to be there, which is hilarious when you think about it that way, right? Um, but we are gonna be there to to be promoting Furlandia, of course. And while we are there, there's gonna be a couple of furry meetups that you can come to and meet people behind Furlandia, or just in general, just come and have a good time with furries.

SPEAKER_02

And as I could tell you from personal experience, Froast City Comic-Con is great for fursuiting. Uh, that's where I fursuited for the very first time in public. Oh. And uh, yeah, everybody was great. I got lots of love for it, and uh nobody was any was rude or anything about it. So uh head there with your fursuit and enjoy.

SPEAKER_03

Was that the place where you made a hot on savage or not?

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Well, it's gonna be at the Oregon Convention Center. So it's gonna be a nice place to uh have lots of people there, and hopefully, while we are there, one of the other things we're going to be doing is we're gonna be doing a couple of panels. One panel is going to be uh Furlandia history, uh so to speak, so PDX Furry Con history or furry con history in general, with focusing on Furlandia, I should say. Um, and then of course the other one we're gonna have is dispelling furry myths and stereotypes.

SPEAKER_08

Oh yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So that's gonna be fun because we're also on top of everything. We're gonna be doing something that we also have never done before, and actually have the ability for people to pre-register there and pay for things on the spot.

SPEAKER_06

Excellent. So you can promote it and say, hey, since you like this idea so much, give us some money right here. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, uh, TikTok, what have you got to plug? Well, let's see, this summer is a bit quiet for now since um uh Campfire Tales got moved to June. Hope to hug some furs at summer parties. Awesome. Tavan, what have you got to plug?

SPEAKER_06

Well, first of all, I have to say there's an obvious so, you know, my internet, I don't know if all you furs if they talked about, but but my internet kept dropping out, so I wouldn't say a lot of things, and it's obvious how match-up things I usually say because this recording is like what 40 minutes shorter than normal?

SPEAKER_11

Shorter than normal, yes.

SPEAKER_06

Um, we are at this point in the show, like literally 40 minutes before we normally would be. So um, shout out to internet not letting me talk, I guess.

SPEAKER_02

That's what they mean by internet censorship. That's exactly what it's like. But it's a great show.

SPEAKER_11

We just boiled it through to all the really important stuff. That's what, you know, it's a great shouting.

SPEAKER_03

Ow.

SPEAKER_06

Um so I will then just say my out uh my shameless plugs and stuff. Um I have a link tree, that's l-in k tr dot double e forward slash taben, um, which has a link to a bunch of my things, but of course you can go just straight to it. Like, for example, I have an Instagram, which is just tapenpup. Tapen pup. I've had a lot of people like um subscribe to me. I've gotta do I don't use tape Instagram as much as I need to, so I need I'm gonna try and do that more because I actually have first uh subscribing and stuff. But I have uh merch on fourthwall that's taped in dash shop.forthwall.com. Also from my link to you you can get there. T shirts, mugs, stickers, lots of fun stuff. Hopefully more stuff to come. And of course, check out my YouTube. Don't forget that there's the chicky the chick the the chicky chick chick. The chicky chick chick saga. Which is lots of fun and good stuff, very important. Um, lots of good math videos on various topics like calculus, linear algebra, which in fact I have had actual furs tell me that they have passed their calculus exams because of my videos. So uh shout out to my videos, all you furs that want to learn calculus stuff. But there's also fun things like Mobi strips and pine bottles and stuff, a history of our podcast, uh cooking with Tabin. You can learn how to cook an egg and open things and how to make ice, which is very important. Um, and if you early will remember, I think it was episode three, you can find out how to throw a burrito into a microwave. That's great.

SPEAKER_02

And how to how to make bread was uh especially thrilling due to the fact that uh certain pup got behind the wheel.

SPEAKER_06

That is true. Oh, that was the how to make a bread that you can watch this pup drive away and not get into an accident and breathe. Um spoiler there. Um then there's product reviews, drumming, other fun stuff. We're gonna have new stuff released soon for any of you furs that have noticed that I haven't posted much, just a few VR things over the past few months. We are going to soon have more to post. So make sure to um check out my YouTube channel, which is just Tabin Pup, but you can get there from my LinkedIn. And uh I don't a lot of furs don't realize, uh I co-host a podcast called Barely Furcasting Feet Frank Tabin, so make sure to check that out sometime. You can just go to the BFFC chat and find out where that is, I guess.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, okay. Wow. Thank you for letting us know all that, Tabin.

SPEAKER_06

And I'll just end with saying my next con is Anthro Weekend, Utah coming up really, really soon. Then I'll uh have Anthro Northwest in January, and at both these I'll have Storytime with Tabin, and Tabin seems we're all doing some new fun stuff with new Tavin chips and everything. So that I will stop and say that's my shameless plug. Plugs, flugs for this week.

SPEAKER_11

SPEAKER_02

He said that to me the other day after I after he was complaining about how hot I like a shower, and yeah, we just laughed.

Yeah, and apparently, uh, with my um shameless plugs and all the rambling I did there, I took us back up to our hour and a half recording time. No, actually, we're still um a half hour ahead of time. So now I have a chance to catch us up. But no, first I will say shout out again to uh Nufer in the BFFT chat, Percy Wilmorton, for actually knowing New Burk Fluff. He said that to me in the chat when he um said uh well when he said he saw me and wanted to go talk about the BFFT chat. Anyway, so he knew that, so that was exciting. So shout out and um other than that, yes, thank you all you first that have been listening. I think we've had uh well, barely started off the show by saying we've got a really good show for you today, and I think he was correct. Do all you first agree? Oh yeah, yeah, we're all biased. We did it. We we fulfilled the barely prophecy. That's the barely prophecy. So, yes, on that note, uh we we love doing this for for us and for you and for the fandom and being a part of it, and it's just so great to be part of this wonderful, amazing, the best community ever. Uh yeah. So until next time, that we bark at you next time. I stay move rock fluff, stay fur.
