SPEAKER_03I went to Home Depot the other day to buy something. I searched the entire store. I got a little bored. Since it's been getting hot lately, my partner and I went to a local park that has a pond. We took our dog with us and he kept getting bit by the ducks. I guess that's what happened with a purebred dog. A purebred Oh wait? Yeah. Well, I I was also removed from my job at the zoo for lining up the animals. Yeah, from lining up all the animals at the order of height. Apparently they did not like me criticizing the zoo. Oh my goodness. These are worse than mine. Well, well, here's one that'll be even worse. Um Trump was told that a plane crashed in South America. He asked, were there any fatalities? His advisor said yes, a Brazilian, and Trump says, How many is a Brazilian?

SPEAKER_05Okay, I have to ask you, Tabin, do you have an extra husband now that you've been to Utah? Oh, do they do that? Yes, yes. Why not? That's where all the Mormons live.

SPEAKER_10But in the allocated time. Some of it, I know barely you know, for example, Joe Gar. I saw him at end of aid at Ow. Try that again. Easy for you to say. It was, it was very easy for me to say. So Joe Gar, who we know from FC and the LFC and other places, um, I saw him at Awoo at Anthro Week in Utah, and he said he tries to listen to every episode of our podcast. I I don't know if he actually has, but I I think shout out to him for uh trying to do that. So that's a shout-out to this week.
SPEAKER_03Awesome, okay. Well, speaking of something that happened this past week, um you, Tabin, went to Anthro Weekend, Utah. Do you have some uh recap on that for

SPEAKER_10I do, oh my cow. Okay, so um, so this was my first time at AU at uh Anthro Weekend, Utah. And um, we had a really great time um all weekend. It's a very well-organized con with good vibes all weekend. So, to taro disclaimer, nothing you know how much I love and how I feel about Furlandia close to my heart. So anything I say is not in any way in any competition with Firlandia.
SPEAKER_03I I will not take it that way. Okay.
SPEAKER_10But so I will then say um it was um a really great time. We we really um loved it. Um all just it was just really great. So the attendance was 2,884, and that's a 9% growth over last year, which had 2,601. Um so it's a smaller con, but um it's really great. The the layout of the so the convention center, it's the the Davis Convention Center, and uh the main hotel is um forgive what the main hotel is, but it whatever it is, it's connected to the convention center, and it's only a three-floor hotel, so it's really small, and you definitely want it. If you want the main hotel, you gotta get right on it. Um but it we we were in the main hotel and it was really nice. You pretty much just fell off the elevator and into the convention center. It was a nice layout, nice kind of if it's very much reminds me very much like Forlandius Sheridan. You know how the Sheridan was um in a way kind of a straight, I mean it curved, but kind of a straight line kind of where you had little offshoot shoot little hallways. I always really liked that um little floor floorway design, so that was nice. And so um Awoo's floor design is similar to that, so it was kind of a nice flashback to the Sheridan, but also it was smallish in that you could just get from one place to another without having to like run for five miles or something. It was nice. Um their charity was Nuzzles and Company, which is a local anime anime, no, actually, it's a local animal rescue. And animal rescue. How do you anime animals? Right? I opened up a Pandora Kitty with um Pat. That's right. Um anime rescue. They had anime rescue. Um help Akira save me now. Um but they had kitties there. It was amazing. They had like older cats and um little kittens. Um, and they I forget the exact numbers, but at the end they had I think three kittens adopted, and um two more potentials people were gonna come back, so that was great. Um and I saw I saw the kittens. This pup got a hold of a little kitten. It was amazing. And I have a picture, I'll I'll put that in the chat. Um, but also uh so there's a fursuiter um laying on the ground um just outs by the kittens, and there was a kitten that like crawled in and fell asleep in her fursuit head. It was so cute, and um the fursuit head was on her lap, so like I imagine she didn't like get up for a long time. Probably and I have a picture of that too, and I'll put that.
SPEAKER_05I saw that picture, that was very cute. I thought it was your head at first. I thought it was yours at first because the colors are similar.
SPEAKER_10He posted a lot. He did post a lot. Um and a little side note about that, you might have seen. So at this con this has been a growing thing at the cons we've been going to, but um, there's some particular fur that has little flea um um uh what are they called? Um clip. The clothespins, the clothespins with the word flea, clothespins, clothespins flea on it. And it also had the words um Awu 2026 to commemorate, but the fursuit head had um two flea uh clippies um holding up the the flap to the fursuit head so everyone could see the kitten sleeping in the head. It was so cute.
SPEAKER_03Um I have not seen these flea clips. Yes, yeah. There was one person at Furlandia that actually had like uh 30 of them attached to the back of his fursuit head. Yeah, I was busy at Ferlandia. I didn't see a lot of stuff.
SPEAKER_10We first saw those at Denver one or two years ago, and um it was at at the very first, it's like um they'd come up and say, I'm gonna put this flea on you. Like, okay, now like I got back to my room one time and I just had this flea on my ear, I don't even know how. And then later I turned around and there was a flea on my tail, and I don't even know how or when that happened. Um, anyway, so it's like this out of nowhere. They do. Um, so there the charity raised $35,000 or raised $35,000 for charity for a con that only had 2,800 people at it. That's amazing. Wow. It is amazing.
SPEAKER_04Uh quick question. Uh, did they have the uh casino night there for charity?
SPEAKER_10Um so yes they did. Uh so the little side note about that, since it's Utah and Utah like policies and stuff, they can't actually gamble. Yeah. So the casino was just more of a like, let's have a bridge night and make money for charity type thing. Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05They can't gamble for money, they can't gamble for money, but they can they can buy in and win prizes. Yeah, yeah, that's so that's what they do.
SPEAKER_10Um they I forget what the numbers, but they touted that um Awu is among most all fur cons they raise the most um money per capita every year for charity. Uh anyway.
SPEAKER_05That's not surprising. Yeah. There's a lot of money in Utah.
SPEAKER_10There is. Um so opening ceremonies had a filled room, which of course is not common for fur cons in general. Um but it was a unique opening ceremony. They um everything was scripted, they had like teleprompter, so everyone was scripted. And by the way, um, so when I first was watching it, like the so it was the chair and con the con chair and co-chair that were hosting the opening ceremonies. And when they came out, they were energetic and they like they they like said many things very fast. And and I was thinking for the first like 10 minutes, wow, they know their lines like really well. They must have like rehearsed like for a month. And then about a half hour into it, I'm thinking, you know, I have a feeling that they're uh reading their uh script from somewhere, and then later in the opening ceremonies, um I think the con the co-chair said, uh wait, could he scroll that up a little bit? I got lost in my teleprompter. Then I'm like, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, got it. Okay.
SPEAKER_03The magic is broken. The magic is broken.
SPEAKER_10But it was really it was a very unique opening ceremonies in that their theme was um interwoven throughout. Like they would say all the things about the con and the events they have and everything, and then they would break to um and segue into continue to talk about the theme, and they would bounce back and forth between they had like this big elaborate video with animation of all sorts, and they would bounce back and forth between the um the stage presence and the um the uh video. It was very uh energetic and lively and very, very cool. Um at one point, so there was a big kind of kaiju theme going on, and at one point it they had a big huge um Godzilla claw come out and grab like the co-chair and bring him backstage and everything. It was like just this big thing. Anyway, it was a pretty claw. It was a pretty uh special opening summer. I can see why it had a filled room. It was like a very special big thing that I hadn't actually seen at many furcons. Um speaking of theme, they worked really well with it. You know, a lot of cons do a lot of with the theme and everything, um, but this one seemed to, I don't know. So they had like a uh a game, a kaiju treasure hunt game throughout the con, which is, you know, some fur cons try and do that, but they had like a map with like, and and every time I walked past the big map about the places in the con where the kaijus were to attack, there were always like a ton of furs around there with their phone trying to figure out the thing. It's like a big thing, and they had a big reward for people that solved the thing. It was like this huge theme. I I'd never really seen so many fur cons do a theme quite like that. Um, also, you know, there was actually a lot of unique things about Awu. Another was the Lala Pawusa. It took a long time to learn how to pronounce it. But um it was indeed a Lalapalooza of sorts. They, of course, every night pretty much had the DJ raves and everything, but Saturday night, instead of the DJs, they had La La Powooza, where they had four bands, actual live bands play. Um they still had like a big dance floor and everything, um, but lots of chairs where people could sit. And and it was a typical you didn't just go and sit there. You could come and go just like at a DJ, they just had four live bands. Um, we saw two of them, and I have to talk about them briefly because they were awesome. So one of the bands was Pause and Effect, which is literally a furry weird owl band. Like, literally, this was um like a furry band doing 80s songs. So, for example, they did a song, um, a spoof of Van Halen's jump that went, come on and bark, bark, go ahead and bark. And it was awesome, and they had lots of things like that. And I was telling uh Chitaro about how it is very important that we get them to come out to Forlandia next year, anyway. Um, another uh band we saw which was very cool, is Orbital Destroyer, very nice grunge rock band. Um, so little side note I have to say, which was actually very cool. So a few years at Denver, um Amra the White Lion um did a DJ set. And I was there for the DJ set, and it was so awesome, and it just had these great vibes, and it just it was just a really good set. And um I I don't know, I I long story short, too late, um I'd been trying to get in touch with him or to bring him to other cons or whatever for like two years, but I've never been able to get in touch with him or anything like that. So I saw on the schedule for all Wu that he didn't have a DJ set, but he had like some panels, and like, I I actually get to meet him. This is exciting. Um so uh on the very on Thursday night I come out of the um elevator and there or out of the hallway and there comes Amra walking down the hallway, and I'm like, wow, so I gotta say hi to him. So two years later I finally got to say hi to him, and it was amazing. Anyway, he had ended up not having a DJ set, but he is in a band now. He's the lead singer and bassist for Orbododostroyer, which is um just awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome stuff. Um anyway, there's that. Um it sounded like you had a blast, Tabin. I did, and I have some more things to say. Okay.
SPEAKER_04How many things?
SPEAKER_10A lot of things. I mean, this was there's a lot of things that happen in in this short time and stuff. So um story time of Tabin and Tabin seems well sings where it all went well, pretty pretty typical, and all seemed to have a great time. The but the the thing I want to mention about that is so of course I brought T B along and I try to introduce TB. This uh story time, I think. And um, I don't know if it's because people couldn't understand his name when I said it or whatever. So I said, every first, say hi, TB, and they were like, uh they didn't know what to say. They didn't know the name. It's like, okay, okay, we'll try that later. So later I said, okay, so his name is T B. So one, two, three, and and so they tried it and they were like, Hi, that's uh. It's like they didn't know. So later I tried one more, I explained what the name was. I said, it's TB. So later I was like, okay, one, two, three, and they said all together, like literally everyone got it. They all said, Hi, hippie. And I'm like, okay, good try, good try. You all at least got something together. Um so another unique thing about uh Awoo is that the dance comp goes straight into closing ceremonies. So basically, if you don't get into closing ceremonies and get a good seat, you're not gonna get a good seat for closing ceremonies. Like they don't shoo everyone out, it's just like five minutes later they start closing ceremonies. So that was interesting. Interesting.
SPEAKER_03So we got so in other words, all the people that are watching the dance comp are actually watching uh get to see closing ceremonies and nobody else comes in.
SPEAKER_10Um pretty much, yeah. Like if it's yeah, pretty much. I mean, I think some people leave and some come back in, but um you you really want to get there for close for uh dance comp if you want to watch closing ceremony. So that was interesting. I guess I don't know exactly why, but you know, so this is on Sunday, and so the only thing I could figure is like this is how they make people stay for Sunday, also. Um I think for Landia did that one year. Uh I don't remember, but um But closing ceremonies was um was also great. They had they put on an enjoyable show for that. Um few other random things that I just thought I'd know. Um so I had figured like no one would actually know me because this was a new group of furs. It's Utah. And of course there's overlap between cons, but it's a smaller con and it's Utah. I don't know. Clovix, um which barely knows very well, um, is on the board, so I knew Clovis. Um but besides that, I didn't think like anyone would know me. It turned out that a bunch of people did know me, for example, somehow. In fact, the con chair and co-chair both knew me somehow. Um and also, also, so um. I told you I'd make you famous. I apparently um so at one point I was talking to Clovics and like three furs just came by, and one of them came up to me and said something along the lines of, Oh, hey, do you know I'm trying to find something. Do you know where I can find crispy chicken? And I was like, What? How did anyone even know? Like, I don't even know how to knew about that. Yeah, um, and so then they're we're talking, and like one of the other three at one point was like, wait, you're that one?
SPEAKER_07That's awesome.
SPEAKER_03And the other one's like, yeah, that's that's the same one. See, see what happens, Tabin, when you do a podcast? You get important.
SPEAKER_05Well, that in his thousand videos that we put out there. Does he uh did that one um that said, Oh, you're that one? Did he like walk away then shaking his head, or did he stick around and want your autograph?
SPEAKER_10He actually stuck around. He didn't want my autograph, but he stuck around. I think he backed up the phone. But um, it's that what it's that what about English thing.
SPEAKER_05What you said stuck. I meant is that a word? He stuck around too. Stuok. Is stuck a word? That's gonna go in the it's gonna go in the lexicon now.
SPEAKER_06Okay, I don't think it is a word.
SPEAKER_05I I think he mistook himself. Ah, mistook his stuck.
SPEAKER_10Um and also later in the con, there were a few first that um came up to me with the crispy chicken thing, and I have no idea who so anyway, that was exciting. Um, so also oh yeah, so it's always excited when somebody recognizes you.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_10I am very surprised actually when people recognize me.
SPEAKER_05I actually don't know how they do because there's a lot of you do know that uh that YouTube is worldwide, right? It goes to everywhere in the world.
SPEAKER_10That happened yesterday.
SPEAKER_03It happened when um when Al Gore invented the internet, remember?
SPEAKER_10Ah, yeah. Right after he invented the hamburger. I remember that story. Oh Lord. So, okay, so this was I want to tell like a brief story. Another I'm almost done, I promise. But there's just been so many fun things I wanted to talk about. Um so this is actually timely because uh, well, you'll see why. I'll start talking about it and you'll see why. So I was talking to standing around and talked with some furs, and then just out of nowhere, some fur came up with a black bag of little plastic animals and said, Here, have a plastic animal. Like, okay, so I released my pause in and pulled out a little pigeon. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. Oh my god, that's hilarious.
SPEAKER_10And did he say no? I told you no. And I said, This is interesting because I just read Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus in my panel. I actually read Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus in my storytime caveman that very day. And she said, That was my favorite book as a child. So it was it was apparently ordained for me to grab that pigeon. Apparently. Wow. Um okay, and the last anecdote I want to say, this is for you, Ziggy. I'm leaving the best for last. This is for you. This actually happened. So I was waiting, you know, in the bottom for the for the fursuit parade. And you know how those things go. We're all waiting around for everything to get done and photography gets done, and we're waiting for them to open the thing so we can go out on the parade. While we're waiting for the parade, the announcer for, I think it was the co-chair, but he you know, he's saying things to try and keep us busy. And at one point he said if you were he was trying to get everyone to like scream and yell and everything. At one point he said, if you were born after two 2010, yell 67.
SPEAKER_04Oh god, oh no.
SPEAKER_10And then and then he said, if you were born before 2010, yell oh there are no nuggets in the shape of 6'7.
SPEAKER_14You can buy them in uh of course there are, of course there are. I forgot the name of the store, but there are chicken nuggets in 6'7 shape.
SPEAKER_10I'm okay. I'm not surprised and I'm scared. So that's everything I'm gonna have to say about Awu. Um we are already planning on definitely going next year. Um and we're um excited to put it in our rotation for next year. And I I'm done. I'm done, I'm done. Maybe I'll go with you next year. Well, and I was gonna say, thanks for saying that, because I meant to say um like we should all go, even Rain and Siggy, we should all go to next year.

SPEAKER_03move on to what day is it today? Okay. And so on the day of this recording, which is the 11th of August, it is National Sons and Daughters Day, which is a family day to spend with your kids. Now I don't I know that none of us have children, but there are listeners out there that do.
SPEAKER_10Um you you all have me, so isn't that kind of close?
SPEAKER_03That's kind of very close, yeah. Yeah. It's also play in the sand day. So for building sand castles outside.
SPEAKER_05Which it's great for family day. So absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Go spend the family day out on the sand. Two days, two things at once.
SPEAKER_05Two special days, special.
SPEAKER_03And on top of that, it's also Presidential Joke Day, which started in 1984 with Ronald Reagan. It had something to do with nuclear weap nuclear weapons pointed at Russia. Every day in the US is presidential joke day. Right now, yes. Yes, yes. So I have to ask, does anyone have any good presidential jokes?
SPEAKER_10Well, Rain just took my joke. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Well, I have I have one to start, and it's from Teddy Roosevelt, who is our 26th president. He said, When they call the role in the Senate, the senators do not know whether to answer present or not guilty.
SPEAKER_05Boom, boom. Even today.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Exactly. I figured that was very apropos for presidential joke day. Does anybody else have a joke for Presidential Joke Day?
SPEAKER_04I I have one from Bill Clinton. Um being a uh being a president is like running a cemetery. You've got a lot of people under you and nobody's listening.
SPEAKER_07Right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. Well, there's lots of them, and uh, of course, like I said, today is a good day to tell lots of interesting jokes about it.
SPEAKER_10And I think if you tell enough of these presidential jokes, you'll become a Brazilianaire. That is very true.
SPEAKER_03Well, on our release date, which is I believe the 22nd of August. Correct. Um, yeah. Um, it's going to be National Senior Citizens Day. Yeah, so so go out there and say thank you to all those uh old people, so to speak.
SPEAKER_05What do you what are you supposed to do with them? I mean, this is that take them for dinner or something or what? It's National Senior Service.
SPEAKER_03Say thank you for thank you for being this long. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, I guess so.
SPEAKER_03Well, and just for a and just for a bit of history, today, that is the 22nd of August, is also the day in 1959 that Hawaii became the 50th state in the United States. Now, because of Ziggy, I'm not gonna say how old it is for reasons. Okay. Be brave, be brave. Don't do it. Yeah, so uh, so yeah. Okay, fine. It's 67.

SPEAKER_10When so when I saw it in the show notes that Chitaro said I wasn't going to say the actual date because reasons, I I didn't even catch that. And even when you were just telling that now about I'm not gonna say it because of Ziggy, I still had no idea what you were talking about. And then I'm really glad you said the date because now I finally understand everything that just happened. Everything.
SPEAKER_03Well, you know, it was funny when I was doing this and I saw the date, I'd go, well, I wonder how old that is. And I go, god damn it. You're welcome. So,

Oh, and by the way, I happened to listen to season seven, episode two, because I was looking for something, because it's something I'm gonna say later today. And I was happened to listen to the formation section, and I was all chipmunky. It was awesome. I I remembered I I don't know.
SPEAKER_05Everybody was chipmonkey. I chipmunked everybody.
SPEAKER_10You did, you chipmunked everybody. It was awesome. Um anyway, so and then when I was trying trying to like s say what I'm gonna say now, it's like So for those of you that don't know, we do this thing.
SPEAKER_12But instead it was like it was gonna be a good one.
SPEAKER_10Anyway, so um all you first go back and listen to season seven episode two, and you can hear that crazy.

SPEAKER_03Right. Well, Pink Lemonade and I have watched the brand new Masters of the Universe movie. How was it? It was very cheesy as expected. Well, there were a few good special effects, you know. Um I I I I enjoyed it. That there was a scene with Dolph Lundgren who who tells Adam slash He-Man that you're in my spot while he's in the gym. And it's kind of funny because uh Dolph Lundgren played He-Man back in the I think 1983 movie of He-Man that was there. Um but but they did a great job with all the characters, tried to stay true to the original movies and TV show. It was kind of a good thing, you know. And um, I know um that Rain watched it too because I saw his portion of that, but uh, I'll let him say what he has to say in this.

SPEAKER_03You need portion control. We all we also watched the 2025 movie Five Nights at Freddy's 2. It was a little lackluster. It was a decent sequel, but you know, it it seemed like um there was something missing in it, to be honest. And uh it just didn't seem true to the original by any means, but that's another story. Um we've also uh been watching this series called Heroes from 2006. It's about these special people that have special abilities. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Which is really awesome. Yes, it's really an awesome show.
SPEAKER_10And it has um um uh what's his name? The the gay one from Star Trek. Um Takai.
SPEAKER_03Zachary Kinto.

SPEAKER_03Take George Decay. George Decay, yeah. Yeah, George Decay also is gay, as well as as um Zachary Kinto. Oh, I didn't know that. Oh, okay, good. Yeah, yeah. Well, there's a lot of a lot of Star Trek people that are in this. There's there's Zachary Kinto who played Spock, there was uh, you know George Decay. There's also anyway, there was also um Nichelle Nichols, uh there was uh Malcolm McDowell who played uh Sorin in the Star Trek Generations movie, and um and I can't think of the actor's name, but he was the one who was in Star Trek Enterprise who played Malcolm.
SPEAKER_06Oh he was also in this um Dominic Keating.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yes, there it is. Um and and so it's interesting how they've incorporated a lot of these Star Trek people into this show, but it's really awesome. Um, and I I I like it because there's this one character named Hiro. He's Japanese, and he has the ability to bend time and space. And it's like really awesome. And we're in season two, and there's lots of fun things that happen, but I won't spoil it for anybody. But but it's really worth the watch. Um and it's on it's on um Netflix, as a matter of fact, so go out there and watch that. Let's see. Oh, we've caught up to the current season and episode of Rick and Morty, believe it or not.

SPEAKER_03Yay! I'm also looking forward to the next season, even though there's still like a you know, it's for some strange reason the season is over, but the Hulu doesn't play them like when they come out, they wait a couple of weeks. So I can't. Yeah, because they came out on they came out on HBO first. And then a week later they come out on Hulu. Okay, well, I'm still waiting to see episode 9 and 10. But I will watch them, of course. Um But I am looking forward to the next season and episodes of Rick and Morty because you know it it's an awesome show. I still will say, even though I've said this before, the continuity in that show is amazing. I love it.
SPEAKER_10Um I've never been able to get into it for some reason.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it it it's it's a little bit uh you know it's a little bit much depending upon how you want to see it, but you know, it it's a good show. I know there was the pickle episode, but I I just haven't seen it. Yeah, yeah. Well, I I I finished um this uh playing games wise. I finished playing the storyline of Lego Batman, Legacy of the Dark Knight. I still have to do some side missions to get 100% of all the achievements. Um I've also been continuing to play Disney Dreamlight Valley. They introduced a new character, Ralph, from Wreck It Ralph, which was kind of fun. Yeah, um, it's it's kind of interesting hearing him and some of the characters talk with each other. It's just kind of weird. Plus, Forza Horizon 6 and Bistro. So um so Rain, what have you been watching?
SPEAKER_06Um, so we watched the Backrooms movie. Um and Masters of the Universe, of course, like you said. Uh Backrooms wasn't really overly spooky, but uh it was kind of disturbing. It was more disturbing than spooky, really. It was very disturbing.

SPEAKER_10Oh, that's a different thing. Okay. Yeah. Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_06The way you know clip out of reality. Yes. Well, depending on where you go, yes. Um, but yeah, uh, Master of the Universe. I thought it was really fun. Uh, and Jared Leto uh finally is in a movie that he was didn't completely tank. Uh You are nothing but Worms. But uh yeah, he he stole about every scene in it uh as Skeletor. Um the I like it. Yes, I liked it because it didn't the movie didn't take itself too seriously, and yeah, like you said, the camo with Dolph London, the cameo with Dolph London was fantastic, was really hilarious. We went all yeah, the the only thing I could I really fault the movie for is that Orco was just thrown in at the very end and that was it. So you get like uh two seconds of him on screen and that was it.
SPEAKER_03They said in the IMDb, they they said in the IMDB uh tr uh trivia section that they did that on purpose because they didn't know exactly where to put him into the the movie. They didn't have to put him in at all.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I don't know. I liked Orko when I was a kid, so uh but yeah, that was that was pretty much it. We watched those uh um up to up to date with uh Star Trek uh Strange New Worlds. Uh the last episode was really funny, um, where they they went to a planet that's atmosphere made everybody drunk, but not everybody reacts the same way to it. Um so yeah, good episode. Uh there's a really fun twist at the end, and uh highly recommended watching it. Yes. Uh but uh anyways, the as far as games, I've just been casually playing Overwatch now and then. Uh I haven't gotten any new games or been playing anything new.
SPEAKER_14Awesome. So that's it. Ziggy, what about you? MediaWise, I've been educating myself using Coursera. So far, I've completed four out of the nine courses. I need to get my certification in data analytics. Uh if I have anything left in me after I finish this certification, I'll try to go with the advanced uh analytics course.
SPEAKER_03You go for all you do list. Wow. Are these actually legit for college credits?
SPEAKER_14Uh you can claim college uh credit with uh with them, and if you want, you can use that credit to pursue uh uh a university degree if you want. Uh with one of the universities, I think the Arizona University. But they are uh provided by uh a foundation uh here in Chile is Talento Digital in alliance with Google. You have to apply stuff in documentation, and if you are selected, you have to sign a commitment to complete the training. Otherwise, you are banned from any program for two years. Yes. Really? Yeah, they are paying for uh for you to access the platform for a whole year. So you do it or you are banned for two years.
SPEAKER_10And you know it makes yes, it makes sense that it would be through um Arizona, University of Arizona, because they have like this huge online program, so that just makes sense that it would be to them.
SPEAKER_14Yeah, they they you can combat credits to to I think bachelor of science in computing or something like that. But you can do it with uh you can uh combat some some credits. Still playing Fortinite, we are close to the end of the season, and I'm excited, yes, Fortinite, to see how they wrap wrap it up. Also been playing a little bit of Raccoon Wanted. It's a fun raccoon game, yay! Uh although the controls are a little bit weird and it doesn't really play well on my computer. But I hope to make it work.
SPEAKER_07But other than that, it's pretty awesome.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I I played it a c uh I played it when it first came out, and it it was even back then on my big computer that I had when I was in the States, uh, it was it was a little bit rough. Uh the controls aren't really great, and the graphics would sometimes chug a little bit on it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that happened on my computer. It's it's how games work sometimes. Yeah, it's just not very well optimized.
SPEAKER_14Yeah, raccoons are uh two locious booties.
SPEAKER_04What about you, TikTok? Well, let's see. So no Jeopardy or RuPaul since they're in between seasons. Oh no. Um although we did watch a really interesting Netflix documentary series on Pan Am 103 that was the uh part of the Lockerby bombing in 1988. Uh they did a nice respectful job with it and got very in depth with the exhaustive detective work that went into the investigation. And it was really kind of incredible how methodical the authorities were, uh, the way they gathered, cataloged, and examined all that collected evidence. I mean, it was an entire warehouse worth events. Oh yeah. You know, it was very well acted. Uh the Scottish accents in particular were uh thick to say the least. So, you know, we watched it with the captions on it. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_10Um just like still game, right?
SPEAKER_04Right. And you know, while I realize those the captions are intended for folks with hearing issues, uh, but the repeated ongoing descriptions for of the background music just got more and more unintentionally hilarious. I mean, it was just like you know, you know, tense music, tense music. Music, wide arching music, thoughtful music, um, skyful music. I mean, just what some of these adjectives were just like, what are you saying?
SPEAKER_03It's it's amazing when you it's amazing when you have closed captions on what it really says for the people, you know, because I was watching some movie that had closed captioning and it's uh and somebody got slapped and it said face slap and it's like you can't tell that from what you know, yeah. So it was just kind of fun.
SPEAKER_10Um I have to say something that um certain members of the staff will hate me say, but I can't help but say that this literally happened just now, TikTok. When you the the Lockerbee bombing, when you read that, I literally read that as the Locker Barbie bombing.
SPEAKER_07The Playhouse just went to the moon with the barbarous.
SPEAKER_03It's a gym, a gym version of Barbie, the Locker Barbie. Locker Barbie, yes. Well, Barely, what about you? What have you been watching?
SPEAKER_05Well, I've watched the latest episodes of Lestat, Silo, and Rick and Morty. Uh I also watched a 2014 movie with Johnny Depp titled Mordecai, uh, which also has Ewan McGregor, Jeff Goldblum, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Paul Batney in it, uh, who plays a bodyguard character named Jack Jock Strapp. Yes, that's his name of the character.
SPEAKER_06Was it was it like Jacques, like with the like Jacques Cousteau?
SPEAKER_05No, Jade Jacques. Jockey Strapp. Yeah, it's a good thing. He came up with the credits that way, yes. Um you may recall that actor as playing Vision in the Marvel Universe. And uh and he was also in the Star Wars movie solo.
SPEAKER_06So Yeah, he was the the the main bad guy. Uh uh Yeah, I forgot his name.
SPEAKER_05And I'll tell you, this movie has so many slapstick things and puns, and Death does it just awesomely. So, I mean, if you get the chance to watch it, it's on I think it's on Netflix. Uh it was just something I flipped on to have in the background, but then it captivated me.
SPEAKER_10So I have to ask, if you were to put it on closed caption, would you get a lot of the closed caption that says slapstick, slapstick, slapstick?
SPEAKER_05Possibly. I don't know. Hard to say. I don't know. Uh watched a movie called uh Disclosure Day, which is very good, very cerebral. It's uh alien-based movie, so I'm not gonna give any spoilers, just know that it's got it's really, really, really good. Um and then as you mentioned, you mentioned backrooms earlier. I watched that one. It's uh kind of like Nightmare on Elm Street meets Severance, is the best way to describe it. A little bit, yeah. You know, it's just like it was just a very strange, very strange movie. Suffice it to say, it while captivating, I was left scratching my head when it faded to the credits. I was like, wait a minute, what happened there? Um uh also kind of ended prematurely. No, no, they could have ended that movie at any point after they started it, and it would have been fun. Um the thing with the therapist, I I didn't I her little flashbacks didn't make any sense at all.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, no spoilers.
SPEAKER_05Um, watched a movie called Gamer from 2009. It's alright, not a great movie. Uh they wrapped it up too conveniently. Uh they did huge plot jumps from it's like everything is bad and then all of a sudden everything is good, then wait a minute. Everything is awesome. Something happened there, you know. It's like uh it's it's based on uh your premise that you're the players are actually controlling a human in a live scenario. Uh the humans are being controlled, are all death row inmates, and if they survive 23 missions, they are pardoned. Um yeah, so interesting story. Yeah, it's it was it was i it was good, but like I said, they they did some big jumps that uh didn't make much sense, especially the ending.
SPEAKER_10So you didn't feel like you lost that's like two hours of your life you'll never get back, but you didn't feel like it was two hours that you really needed to spend. And it's only a 75-minute movie, so it is okay.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so yeah, I so anyway. Uh we finished a House of the Dragon season three for the other podcast. Uh, I started watching the show Pursuit of Unhappiness on HBO, which is a title. It's uh it's oh, it's great. If you have HBO, you should watch it. It's the Larry guy with the frizzy white hair uh that was on Curb Your Enthusiasm, uh whatever his name is. Larry David. Larry David, yeah. The total the show is actually titled Larry Life and the Pursuit of Unhappiness. So it's a nice satirical look at history. It's pretty funny, pretty good, and very timely with lots of hidden jabs at the current occupant of the White House and their administration. It even opens with about a three-minute monologue from Obama. And it's hilarious. Nice so that's season one, episode one? Season one, episode one, yes. Interesting. Okay. So there you go. That's what I've been up to on the media-wise.

SPEAKER_10Um, well, so we've been watching, we've finished seasons two and three of Animal Control. You might remember me talking about that before. Um, really great show with um, as I mentioned before, the the um one of the main stars is the what was his name? I think his name was J. I don't remember. His name from Um Community. Anyway, um, he stars. It was a very good show. Um, I think. Uh uh something to note though, so I do recommend it. They only have three seasons out right now. It's a 2025 show, so they might have another season. Well, it's good enough where I would definitely watch another another season of it. They they didn't end on a cliffhanger, but they ended with, you know, there's definitely places to go. Well, one little note I want to say season two, episode three started out at a furry party.
SPEAKER_02With fursuit. I remember that. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_10So Frank and Shred, so Frank is the main guy, and Shred is his um little uh, you know, the guy that goes around with you in the car. I don't know what to call it. Co-pilot? Sure. That that one so Shred that so yeah, so they went to a house call. There was a noisy, noisy dog at a at a house party, and they got a call. The animal control, they had to get a call. So they went in and there were a ton of people in fursuits. And Shred was like, I don't think this is a children's party. And Frank says, No, it's a furry party. And so then they're standing there, and one big dog came up to Shred and hugged him and said, Oh, my notes say I forget what he said, so never mind. Anyway, a big dog came up and hugged him. Um, but but Shred then said, You better get off me or I'll put you in a kennel, and then the doggy yelled to everyone in the party, he's gonna put me in a kennel, and the furries rejoiced. Great, great, great, great. But so it turns out that the this isn't the whole plot of the whole episode, this was just the very beginning thing. Um, so the noisy dog that um got um, you know, the the whole party called on in the first place, the noisy dog was found out to be it was an actual dog, but it was outside the sliding glass door that was barking at a big squirrel that was inside the door. Um and so Frank just told the squirrel to move on into the other room, and the dog stopped barking. It was awesome. Anyway, it was it was really good. Um, we also started watching um a show called St. Dennis Medical, which is a 2024 Netflix thing. It's a documentary-esque comedy that takes place in a hospital in Oregon. We've only seen two episodes, but it's actually pretty good. One of the stars is the hospital's executive director, her name is Joyce, played by Wendy McLean Covey, which is Beverly Goldberg. It's so exciting to see her. Yeah, no, she she does great. She doesn't play a mama role like that, but she does a great job in her role. As I say, we've only seen two as well.
SPEAKER_06She wasn't a mom. Huh? In Reno 911, she wasn't a mommy.
SPEAKER_10Was she in Reno 911? Yes, yes. I d well. Shows you what I know, which isn't very much. So anyway, it was cool to see her. Um, they they advertised the show as The Office Meets Park and Wreck, and I would definitely have to agree with it. It's pretty good. I'd recommend checking it out. It's not like a die laughing type thing, but it's definitely entertaining and um it's pretty cool. We also have been watching Andor on Disney Plus. Who all of you have seen any of Andor? I knew Burleywood. Really great stuff. Um, it's a little confusing. Like, I don't it's fun and interesting to watch, but like sometimes the plot is like I don't understand why that just happened or why that people are sad or anything. Anyway, but it is it's pretty good. We haven't finished it yet, but it's you know another good backstory to the whole Star Wars saga. Maybe I should start out of that for any of us that don't know, and or is um one of the offshoot backstories to the Star Wars um saga.
SPEAKER_06And um this is about the it leads up to the to the movie um Rogue One.
SPEAKER_10Leads up to Rogue Okay, that makes that makes sense. I didn't know that makes a lot of sense. So it's all about the um the form of the rebellion, basically, and so it's uh it's a pretty good backstory there. Um so that was we've been watching. I've been playing um Roll Kingdom, Bloons, uh, Monkeys Go Pop, Beatsaber a little bit, and Gemcraft, which I haven't played for like a few years, so that's fun to get back into that. SPEAKER_10Oh yeah, I so I know we're just we're not doing a past day thing, but um there was something from a few episodes ago that I said I would follow up on because it was something we're talking about. So on season seven season seven, episode two, um, we were talking about how long our and other furry podcasts had been running, and so we had a little discussion about that. And I mentioned um straight from the muzzle, I didn't know how long it had been running, it's still running, and then I had asked um one of the co-hosts of the show um in Telegram, well, and they hadn't got back to me. Anyway, they got back to me, and I thought just for completion, I would say in in part of that conversation, that she said that they have been straight straight from the muzzle has been around since 2018, but prior to that, they have been around as fur media for at least about 12 years, she was thinking. So they've been around for a long time. I also have to, so that's what I have to say about that. I also have to say, there's a stupid joke I made up. Um, and it's very important that I say this because it's stupid, and I should actually not be saying it, but I'm gonna say it anyway. So I joined a chat the other day. Um, in fact, I think it was the Avu chat. So this was a while ago, but and some for in there said, I haven't seen you in like a decade. And so I said, Well, that's like when the porch outside has been getting help for a long time, it's a decade. I'm done.

SPEAKER_10Actually, I'm glad you asked because there there's a few things I want to say. So, as you all know, I'm confused about many, many things all the time. And you know, it's been a while since I've been on the show, so I've had lots of time to be confused about stuff, but also I've had time to figure the stuff out. So I would like to share with you a few things that I had been confused about over the past few weeks, but I actually was proud of myself I figured out. Um so are you ready?
SPEAKER_08Yes. Sure.
SPEAKER_10Sure. Um, you first should have seen um Barley's little reaction there he just made. But anyway, uh so someone told me a few uh weeks ago that uh Alexander the Great and Kermit the Frog have a very important thing in common about the very um very great, very important thing about them. And I couldn't figure it out. It's like Alexander the Great, he was like this big great warrior in Kermit the Frog. Well, he's green, and I guess Alexander's not green, so is that the important trait they have in common? It's not, I figured out that it's they have the same middle name. Yeah, and again, you first should see barely right now. It's amazing. Um seven years, seven years. Okay, so um another thing is so I was wondering, I I don't know why I was wondering this, but I was wondering a little bit ago how people would let Edgar Allan Poe know that he was about to walk into a tree, because maybe he was deep in thought and didn't see that there is a tree coming up or something. I realized that they just need to yell, Poe, a tree. And I realized that. I really I also couldn't figure out how do lumberjacks know how many tree the trees they have cut down in one day because they just have so many things on their mind, such as not falling off the tree. But I figured out it's because they keep logs. And barely already and some wise words that I came across the other day that I think is actually just generally useful and comforting for oh, you furs really need to see barely right now. Um so very very wise words. When you think all is lost and there is absolutely no hope left, remember the lobsters in the tanks in the seafood restaurant. Okay.

SPEAKER_04Oh dear. Uh anywho, first up for the news, uh, we need to do a plug for the Good Furry Awards. Uh voting is available for two more days as of the release of this episode until August 24th. So your favorite podcast is nominated for the image award. Hey, so put in a vote for us. And next up, there's a new animated movie on the horizon, Forgotten Island, which is centered around Filipino culture. One of the characters in the movie, Raw, is a werewolf, specifically a were aspen, an aspen being a type of Philippine street dog, and is based on the Filipino folklore of an aswang, a shape-shifting spirit creature. Uh but you can't imagine who would be interested in such a character. Why, yes, furries, of course. Yep, there's been much chatter and artistic renditions of Ra and the furry community, which of course the cast has been hearing about. And a recent appearance at the San Diego uh San Diego Comic-Con, the voice actor for Ra, Dave Franco, laughed and joked about the furry community's interest in Ra during interviews and panels. A notable quote from Franco was, I've never been lusted after harder than when I was playing a weird dog. Uh Franco also acknowledged an audience member dressed in raw ears and invited the member to come to the stage for a high five.

SPEAKER_04Yeah, nice. And as an aside, this was kind of an odd report to research. Uh one, it seems like there's some misquotes from the panels, and like there's a people magazine bit about it, and it says that Franco said, uh, where are my furries at? I couldn't find it any I couldn't find I saw the interviews.
SPEAKER_06I saw nothing of that reporting kind of sucks now.
SPEAKER_04Uh yeah, I'm kind of wondering if this was like AI scraping or something. Could be uh and then also there's been a bit of a kerfluffle over Ra's age in various online groups, uh cesspools such as uh Deadbird. Um and um adding to the confusing controversy is that the co-director, uh What Yanwell uh Mercado described Ra as a lonely kid but desperate for a pack. Okay. However, it seems that Mercado's use of the word kid doesn't necessarily mean a minor, and it's also been pointed out that Ra has a large tattoo on his tummy, and in pretty much most of the world you have to be 18 years of age or older to receive a professional.
SPEAKER_06Or at least the age of consent. Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so we'll just see how this one plays out. You know, yeah. No, no use getting caught up in the cesspole. Uh and third up, on the coyote front, there's been an amusing viral video circulating the interwebs. It's the story of the Arizona DOT having installed a wildlife camera and observing a coyote who's been diligently pressing a crosswalk button in order to cross Highway 87 many times over.
SPEAKER_10Oh, that's awesome. I love this. Yes.
SPEAKER_04However, um it's a fun story, and when I looked into it further, there's a few problems. One, there's no actual video from the camera, just a still image. There is really no point in installing a button-controlled crosswalk on a desolate highway. And if you zoom in on the photo, it's womp womp, AI generated.
SPEAKER_10I'm so mad. I am so mad right now.
SPEAKER_04I'm telling you, yeah, no, the sign the signs depicted in the photo have the usual something something, AI text gibberish, and the highway paint lines kind of go to nowhere. But, but, but here's what made this research way more interesting, my dear furs. The AI generator mined a few sources. The more significant ones are domesticated candids, both stra in stray and wild, have been observed to use crosswalks. And they'll do this in an orderly fashion and without the button. However, it's the observed behavior seems to be part of a learned pattern to realize like when the oncoming vehicles stop, it's safe to cross. And in addition, there's been various public works projects to give animals safe places to traverse increasingly divided wild spaces. These have been implemented by the things of like critter intended tunnels or bridges. And not only do these passages make things safer for local species, you get a huge reduction in automotive collisions and therefore you know reduction in human injuries, you know, just by this simple prevention. Uh although these animal tunnels or bridges aren't always practical or economically feasible to build, you know, due to terrain or whatnot. Uh in Arizona's case, they created an animal passage system over State Road 260. And they did it by creating a network of fencing to funnel herds, and that was combined with imaging sensors. When passing elk or mule deer are detected, highway signs light up and flash, which gives drivers time to slow down and let the herds cross. And according to one report I found from Arizona Fish and Wildlife, this system has reduced animal-related collisions by 97%. Wow. So as much as I would love to see our plucky hero Wily E. Coyote use the crosswalk button, it's pretty unlikely.
SPEAKER_06I I think in in Russia there's like uh I think was it uh I can't remember if it was wolves or coyotes, but I think uh they've been like taking the subway or the metro.
SPEAKER_04Oh, well that happens in um Portland. The coyotes take the subway or take yeah, yeah, yeah. No, they've been seen on the um on the train.
SPEAKER_14I think in Toronto there's uh footage of a raccoon waiting in the on the corner for the um uh for the light to to change before crossing and using the cues for the uh for the audio in the um in the light sign for the people visually impaired. And when it starts beeping they they cross the thread.
SPEAKER_04Yep, yeah. No, that that's part of that learned one. You know, when the vehicles stop, they're like, Oh, okay, I can go now. You know, however, you know, while we furs can wail about AI slop all day long, the viral short does bring attention to a serious problem, the need for animals to traverse roadways. So support wildlife projects such as Animal Crossings, and I'm not talking about the game. And please and please be safe on the road. And that's the news for this week.

Uh there's also that weekend, September 3rd through 6th is Indie FurCon at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, Indiana. Uh September 4th through 6th is Calfurry, which is in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Then of course, that same weekend, September 4th through 6th, is I'm gonna try to get this right because I messed it up while I was trying to say this before. Method Fermi in Memphis, Tennessee. And then that's yeah, thank you. Uh the same weekend, uh September 4th through 6th is Tails and Tornado Spur Com in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Uh and then on September 5th through 6th is Park Arcada Fur Fest in Panamique City, Metropolis Manila, Philippines. See, they're not so easy to do, are they? No, they are not. And I wanna I I went through and read this list a half a dozen times to make sure I would not screw up.

Now let me rephrase it again, but in a more human and fluent mode. And he was reading out the text that the AI was giving him to crucially speaking. Right.

SPEAKER_09Um so that means it's time for a movie review.
SPEAKER_06You have a movie review for us.
SPEAKER_03I do, and and this time it's gonna be a kind of a fun movie because, you know, uh several episodes ago I I reviewed Paddington, and I thought, you know, I'm gonna go ahead and watch Paddington 2, which is a 2017 movie that's streaming on HBO Max right now. And I'm glad I actually watched this movie because, you know, it I I know there there's a third Paddington movie out there called Paddington uh goes to um, I can't remember, um, somewhere in South America, and I can't remember this part off the top of my head. But I wanted to watch this one because I thought, you know, I should watch them in order and make sense, right? But this is a qu kind of a uh a cool story because you know, as much as we learned about Paddington in the first one, they do a recap and they basically taught start with a few barriers ago, and it shows uh how Paddington was rescued by his uh by his aunt Lucy and and taken care of and stuff like that, and then run off to London, so to speak, and all the stuff that happened in the last episode. But this one, after they do that recap, so to speak, they they basically get in and go, okay, well Paddington wants to buy his aunt Lucy a birthday present because as silly as this is gonna sound, his aunt is turning 100 years old. A bear being a hundred years old, go figure that one. Anyway, so he wants to buy something that's special for her, and he goes and he goes to this one curio shop place, kind of a uh a junk shop or no, uh I can't think of the word off the top of my head, but it's kind of one of those places where you go to buy oh antique store. That's the word. It goes to an antique store. Who knew that was such a hard word to say? Um, and and he talks to the guy that runs the antique store, and he says, I want something special for my my aunt Lucy. And and he says, Well, I have it was funny. He starts off with this stupid little thing that you kind of squeeze the bottom, and a little monkey jumps up and down. He says, That's not very special. And then he sees this pop-up book of of London. He goes, That has to be what I want for for my aunt. And so he says, I want this. How much is it? And he says, Well, it's gonna cost you a very large sum of money, so he decides, okay, well, I need to create some money. Well, he ends up doing window washing jobs and tries to get money for this book, and one night he was strolling by where this store was just to kind of look in and say, I'm gonna be buying you for my Aunt Lucy. And he sees a thief break into this antique store, and the thief basically steals this book, and Paddington chases after him. He runs into the store and he chases after him, and and of course, this thief is like some form of a magician, and he goes poof, and he's disappears in a hot puff of smoke, but the police catch him and send him to prison. So Paddington goes to prison. And so the ironic part is that when he goes into prison, he says, you know, they tell him you're gonna do hard time and stuff like that, right? And so he goes and he's given a job, like most prisoners are given a job in prison, right? His job is to do the laundry. That sounds pretty simple, right? Well, all of these prisoners are wearing the traditional black and white striped prison uniforms, right? And so he's got this pile of things that he's gotta shove into all of these different machines, and it just so happens that a red sock, one red sock, gets mixed into all of these um uniforms. And of course, what happens when you throw a red sock into something that's white? It turns it pink. So everybody's now wearing pink and gray uniforms in prison, and everybody's like, oh, they're mad at him and things like this, and so on and so forth. Well, he was eating breakfast one day, which is comprised of gruel, so to speak, that this guy makes. And and he he says, I'm gonna speak to this guy about something that, you know, about this food, because it's really awful. And so he goes and speaks to him and he says, Okay, I'm gonna make something I want to make something good, and he ends up telling him about um about his marmalade sandwiches, and he has to make marmalade sandwiches. But um but anyway, I'm getting kind of caught up in a in a strange side quest of this story because he ends up being in prison, and while while he's in prison, he changes things up a bit. Like I said, with with the pink and and gray jumps uh suits that they're all wearing, he there's flowers everywhere put gets put. The the um the rows of picnic tables, so to speak, that all the prisoners used to sit at are now turned into these beautifully decorated tables with cloths and chairs, and they're all eating these nice sweets and things. So Paddington has made a big change in terms of all these people in in the jail. So um, but but it's kind of funny because the family that he lived that he lived with, the Brown family, is trying to help him um to find out that he's not guilty of stealing this book. And so so basically the rest of the movie is figuring out what's going on in terms of figuring out who actually stole the book and things of this nature. Now, I'm not going to wreck the story in terms of saying what happened, but I do have to say that there is a person in this movie that did an excellent job of playing, let's just say, several different characters, and and um his name is U Grant uh Uh oh god, I can't think of his name now. You um anyway, I can't think of his nigrant. Ugrant, yeah. I wanted to say Grant, but then my brain thought, no, it's not you grant, but yes, it is you grant. And um he basically uh at the very end of this movie, um I'm not gonna say where or how he does this, but he ends up doing this big gigantic show tune number at the end, and it was really funny. You know, it was very uh you know, one of those cameras would point down on on them while they were doing this kick dancing and all sorts of stuff, kind of like those uh those old TV or movies with um the women that were in the swimming pools doing synchronized swimming and stuff like that. Busley Berkeley. That's the guy, yeah, by Busley Berkeley for that. Yeah, yeah. It was very Busley Burkley-esque, so to speak, this this thing. And so there's a lot of fun little tidbits that happen in this movie. As a matter of fact, while while Paddington is in the uh the kitchen trying to make his marmalade, um this guy who is in the kitchen and is supposed to be the chef, his name is Knuckles. He's sitting there reading a newspaper, and the name of the newspaper is Hard Times. Yeah. Yeah. And there's a lot of those types of little things, because it's Paddington, of course. And and the interesting part is is I'm going to say that um the person who's a little newspaper for prisoners, by the way. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. It's kind of funny. Yeah. And so so, but the interesting part is I I um I did not write this down, but the name I can't remember the guy who wrote the Paddington books. But he got told that this second movie was going to be made on his 90th birthday. The unfortunate part was is he died literally six months before the release of this movie in the theaters. So so he he has a a nice um, you know, um what do you call it, uh thing at the end of the or at the beginning of the movie dedicating the movie to him. In memoriam. In memoriam, yeah. Yeah. So this is this was a really good movie. I I enjoyed it very much. Um it it it has a lot of stuff that makes you laugh. There's a couple of things that kind of make you sad, but you know, overall it did a good job. Um, I'm gonna give this a four chirp rating because you know it it deserves it deserves a a good showing of of uh you know, they they they made a better effort of doing a sequel than most sequels, because most sequels are horrible, but this sequel was way better than the first movie, in my opinion. So um, so yeah, so four chirps for sure. Um and and like I said, it's on HBO Max streaming, so go give it a watch because it's worthy of it.

SPEAKER_03Without warning, the bridge echoed with pop as engineer TikTok announced that the shoestring had become smoky after colliding with an enormous space toenail.
SPEAKER_11Okay.
SPEAKER_03Happens every time. Right? Science off Science Officer Rain calmly analyzed the readings, discovering the strange energy was somehow powered by pizza and could only be stopped if someone would loot on the mysterious world of Bambi. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_10I am not gonna say what I'm thinking. Okay.
SPEAKER_03As the crew prepared their daring mission, everyone felt desperation when countless hell tits appeared outside the view screen. With desperate with desperation, I tell you. Yes. Yes, yes, definitely. Security Chief Ziggy rallied the crew with an overdone speech while the visiting shoemaker volunteered to flopping the ancient alien controls. Suddenly the ship shook with a mighty bonk.
SPEAKER_14How mighty it is.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, as the fur transformed into a confused gateway. The entire crew had to write before the swirling garden hose swallowed the ship.
SPEAKER_02Where did the I guess they had to write a con a you know a story, I guess.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, soliloquy. Well, Captain Barley smiled, raised a paw, and declared, Moobark Fluff! No adventure is too moist for this crew.
